Has anyone else opened one and gotten nothing but chlorine in the aroma and flavor?

I tried some the other day and didn't notice anything like what you describe.

Had one yesterday. No chlorine, but overall, I think it needs a year or 2 to get to where I want it (based on past vintages).

I've had a couple different bottles and no chlorine either. I agree that it is young though and can use some age.

I shared one with 2 guys at Lost Abbey's tasting room and thought it was absolutely delicious.

I had the same bottle as MrFootStones, and like him got absolutely no off flavors at all. It was a little more sour than I expect from Cable Car, but otherwise just like the other vintages I've had. Chlorine is a really strange smell to have in a beer, have you contacted them?

CC is definitely my favorite American wild. I haven't had a chance to try this vintage yet but have only heard good things from this batch.

I found this batch to be incredible. Lots of cheese funk and exotic citrus flavors. I agree it will be even better in a 1-2 years but damn it is tasty right out of the gate.

:slight_frown: Very sad - looks like some bad luck with that bottle, Al.

Definitely chlorine, extremely strong in the aftertaste.

Maybe it was because you drank 4 incredible actual gueuzes/lambic right before the AWAs.

That's like getting laid by your favorite **** star and then expecting the hot chick you're taking to prom to meet the same standards later that evening.

I got the chemical thing for sure :slight_frown: I don't think it was hallucinations but if it was those other bottles truly were that amazing

Drank one a couple days ago....left me drooling. And not because of chlorine.
