A highly hopped, yet still balanced, Double IPA. Multiple hop varieties, emphasizing Citra Hops, were used. We're lovin' the tropical goodness of this hop variety!

On tap at the Smokey Oak Taprooms. Served in a chalice.
A - Hazy orange body. Very orange. No head, but I don't know if bartender scraped it off. Somewhat poor lacing. Sticks a bit.
S - Strong orange citrus aroma with some floral hop notes. I've never smelled such a strong orange hop flavor. Sweet, without being malty.
T - Similar to the smell. Strong orange hops with a nice sweetness. It's a hefty sweetness, but not too strong. It balances well. The finish is a light bitterness, blended with sweetness. The flavors seem to continue throughout the whole drink.
M - Medium bodied. Thick enough to keep all the flavors blended throughout, which is remarkable.
O - Very nice. Glad I tried it. If I lived here, I'd drink it whenever it was available.

12oz can dated 04/??/23 and poured into a teku glass shows a gorgeous dark yellow/orange, with a slight haze, and a voluminous, fluffy 2+" head of white bubbles leaving the glass caked in webbed lacing.
Aromas of orange, pineapple, and grapefruit with pine resin above a strong biscuit malt. Citrus pith and peel notes, join.
Flavors match with a bit of booze heat and cedar.
Mouthfeel is sticky, full, and lasting, yet finishes almost wet.
Overall a strong beer loaded with oomph. Thanks, Dave.

Wow. Just had a funky wonderful beer experience.
Look. The beer has a deep copper hue and two fingers of lacing
Smell hazy hop Oder
Taste hops balanced so the abv is undetectable. Slightly sweet
Feel rich and balanced and smooth
Experience this is a 99% organic beer for $14 a 6-pack. A funky fantastic experience that Bootsy Collins would relish. Some of the nicest people I have ever met were enjoying a draft. A diamond in the rough.

Reminds me of a Pipeworks DIPA. Solid

In The PubScout’s time, the number of DIPAs that have slaked his gullet are probably too numerous to count. But this one, Boy King from Coast Brewing in N. Charleston, SC may be the chart-topper. Beautiful color, sweetish, citrusy nose, laden with hops and flavors of grapefruit, orange, lemon and pine, this resiny, 9.7% DIPA is very dangerously drinkable. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel masks the booziness so well, you’ll likely not be aware that you’re going down a road laden with chicanes. But Ron and Maria have navigated plenty of chicanes, and they know chicanery when they taste it. May be the best DIPA in my experience, and that covers a lot of beers.
