Pours a clear light amber color with a white head. Light spiciness on the nose with some fruit esters. Bready malt, straw, a little grass, and sweet caramel. The flavor is kind of grassy an bitter for a Tripel. Some malt sweetness but minimal ester qualities and almost no spice. Decent body and carbonation, at least.

Consumed May 28th, 2012 at the brewery.
ABV noted as 10.6% on beer menu.
Clear yellow with a fine white head. Decent-looking, as all LAB beers seem to be.
Very lemony aroma with some soft powdery yeast notes.
Strong, sweet malt backbone is offset by a sharp citrus bite. Trace of bubblegum. Low bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel is unremarkable.
No flaws here, but nothing that Chimay White or La Fin Du Monde needs to worry about.

On tap at The Lab Brewing Company in Agoura Hills, CA.
Pours a clear honey orange with an off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, bubblegum, spices, yeast and some slight banana and chalk aromas. Taste is the same but the spices come out more on the finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but it tastes better than it smells.
