A - Pours a light brown with minimal head that fades quickly.

S - Sweet malt, raisins, fig, honey.

T - Honey, grain, oats, faint floral hops.

M - Light, somewhat watery.

O - Nice to try this as an extra in a trade. Honey taste is clearly there and a bit of rye as well. Would not seek this beer out but glad I got to try a beer that is not available in my area.

This brew pours out as a golden color brew that has a white head on it . The smell of the beer is sweet with just a touch of spice on the nose. The taste is mellow, the rye isn't overwhelming at all. I think I get more from the honey than I do the rye. The mouthfeel is medium and has a good drinkable quality to it. Worth trying.

Picked up a single at EuroMarket in Astoria. Poured a clear amber color with a tall head and lacing. Yes, this is a rye beer but it seems more like a spicy and lightly sweet variation on the American amber ale. The honey blends nicely with the caramel malts and the rye spice rounds out this beer. The body is a touch on the thick side for a great session beer, but otherwise it's a nice mellow rye ale.

Gotten as part of the Reddit December beer trade, 12oz bottle

Pours amber, minimal white head, doesn't linger long but a thin layer atop the beer sticks around.

Smells, malt/honey sweet, maybe a bit of caramel.

Taste is of low sweet, rye in the middle, essence of honey at the end.

MF is, literally, waterlike. Honey essence lingers for a bit, but that is all.

Kind of meh.

12oz bottle. Pours a translucent burnt orange color with a thin, frothy head. Decent amount of lacing. Sweet aroma of honey, malts and a small amount of hops. Taste is mostly of honey and some malts. Good amount of sweetness along with some hop bitterness to it. A bit on the thin side. Overall it is a pretty good beer and worth a second look but Lake Placid does have better offerings out there.

A - Pours a nice golden-amber color with a nice layer of fizzy head that faded fairly quickly. Very little lacing left behind.

S - Very light smell of sweet hops. Just a touch of honey and hops mixed in also. Not very strong.

T - Starts off nice and sweet, with some honey flavor. The malt flavors become stronger in the middle, then begins to fade off a bit as the aftertaste is a bit more sweet, like honey. There is a little bitter flavor mixed in at some points.

M - Fairly light-bodied with medium carbonation. A bit dry on the tongue, but fairly crisp overall. Maybe a bit watery.

D - Very drinkable. The flavors are a bit simple, but overall work together. Could use maybe a bit more body.
