Seven Sister Fest
Friday - July 12, 2013 @ 04:00PM
/ Ends: Friday - July 12, 2013 @ 08:00PM
El Chorro Regional Park & Campground
, San Luis Obispo, California
The Seven Sisters Music and Beer Fest, hosted by Tap It Brewing Company, takes place July 12-13, 2013 at El Chorro Regional Park & Campground in San Luis Obispo. Named for the mountain peaks that distinguish San Luis Obispo County, the Seven Sisters Fest is an earthy, laid back approach to celebrating summer on the Central Coast with craft beer tasting; eclectic and energetic lineup of musical genres; local eats; outdoor activities and camping!
San Luis Obispo's own award-winning Tap It Brewing Company will host more than 30 craft breweries from around the West for the Saturday afternoon Seven Sisters Grand Beer Tasting. The event benefits the California Craft Brewers Association and the SLO Brewers Guild.
The festival kicks off on Friday night with the Beermaker’s Bluegrass Ball, with beer, local food purveyors and an energetic lineup of progressive bluegrass and Americana music, featuring Americana singer-songwriter Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line; and progressive bluegrass/hip-hop sensation Gangstagrass.
On Saturday, it’s the Seven Sisters Grand Tasting of Beers, from 12pm-4pm, along with a full musical lineup of eclectic performers from all over the country. Bridging the gap between genres and generations, Saturday features the signature acoustic harmonies of City Folk; Brooklyn-based funk/soul powerhouse Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds; straight from the Bayou, the rockabilly sounds of Honey Island Swamp Band; the legendary blues/jazz fusion guitar master Robben Ford; and the ultimate groove band Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.
Set on El Chorro Regional Park’s 700-plus acre site, the two-day festival offers onsite camping adjacent to festival activities, and includes unique and exclusive “Campfire Concerts” just for campers, morning Yoga, hiking and more. El Chorro Regional Park and Campground is located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay, the east side of Highway One, across from Cuesta College.
Tickets for the festival are on sale at www.SevenSistersFest.com or ticketing outlet www.Vallitix.com; by phone at 888-825-5484; and locally at Tap It Brewing Company and Boo Boo Records in San Luis Obispo, and the Paso Robles Mid State Fair Business Office.
