The Philly Beer Geek 2013 Finals are held on stage at Field House, next to Philadelphia Convention Center. The two-hour competition promises to be a raucous zing-fest of beer trivia, beer profiling, and humor between 7 judges and 6 finalists, all while imbibing in the best beer Philly has to offer.
Competing Philly Beer Geeks are willing to put their passion for Philadelphia beer on the line with the hope of capturing the Grand Prize, including “the prestigious title” as PHILLY BEER GEEK 2013 and a cache of prizes worth over $2,000. The fun-filled competition focuses on both serious and comedic aspects of Philadelphia beer, and fosters overall knowledge and understanding of artisanal craft beer.
SPECIAL HONORARY GUEST JIM KOCH (say "cook") of Sam Adams Boston Lager and Sam Adams Beer - YES the guy in the commercials! - will be cranking up the house with some zingers that will separate the BEER GEEKS from mere mortals!
