Harpoon started brewing its IPA 20 years ago as a summer seasonal. At the time, they weren't sure if American beer drinkers were ready for the floral, bitter beer that eventually became their flagship brew.
We at Tap & Mallet would like to salute Harpoon as one of America's pioneers of the style that all but defines the American Craft Beer Scene. Come in for a special Thursday afternoon Happy Hour where we'll feature four different IPAs, from Harpoon's classic East Coast style to previous 100-Barrel offerings: last year's Black and White IPAs, and the now permanent Rich & Dan's Rye IPA.
Harpoon also invites you to submit your favorite IPA memory in their "Tell Us Your IPA Story" for a chance to win a year of Harpoon celebrations!
