An Evening with J.W. Lees: Vintage Harvest Ales on Draft + the Triumphant Return of Moonraker on Cask!
J.W.Lees has been producing excellent real ale since 1828, and--ever since--has become well-known in Manchester and beyond for an expansive array of craft-brewed ales. More recently, J.W. Lees has perfected the art of producing innovative brews alongside the more traditional ales for which they are celebrated in Britain...
On Tuesday, February 19th, we are excited to showcase this range in our draft and cask feature dedicated to this illustrious brewery. The occasion may be most special on account of the long anticipated return of Moonraker on CASK! This 6.5% malty brew is astonishingly complex on cask, and it has been some time since we have been able to procure it...this evening will also be a fantastic opportunity to compare the cask version of Moonraker with the draft, as we will also tap a keg of Monnraker for this occasion!
Additionally, we have been saving some J.W. Lees Harvest Ales from last fall, and we will tap these vintage kegs alongside the Moonrakers. Harvest Ale 2011 will be poured, and joined by the very special 25th Anniversary Harvest Ale, also brewed in 2011 (and likewise kegged in 2012 following 1 year's maturation). A third Harvest Ale, this one matured in Lagavulin Whisky casks, will also be on tap!
There is no admission for this event, and all J.W. Lees brews will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. taster pours!
