The Perkiomen Township Fire Company will hold its 2nd Annual “Brew Fest” on September 22, 2012 from 7pm-10pm. The Brew Fest will be a celebration of the local Craft Breweries along with locally home-brewed beer. The proceeds from this event will be used for required training and to improve equipment that is essential for fire protection for Perkiomen Township and surrounding communities.
If you want to have your beer judged there are 3 locations you can do so and it's free; Weak Knee Home Brew Supply in Pottstown, Craft Ale House in Limerick, Appalachain Brewing Company in Collegeville. Deadline to drop off your beer is September 20, 2012.
Judging starts at 6pm.
The classes are the following;
1-light lagers,
2-dark lagers,
3-stouts/porters/dark,
4-belgians/wheat/wit/weiss/rye,
5-English/Scotish/Irish/Pale
7-IPA.
The event will also feature great food and locally crafted beer with "The Fermentors" band. Cost of admission to the event is $25. Raffles and 50/50 will also be done at the event to help raise money.
