Boston Beer Week (May 28 – June 3) is just around the corner and I’m super happy to announce that CBC will be hosting the Official Kick-Off Party on Tuesday May 29th at 5pm.

In honor of the occasion, Brewmaster Will and his brew crew in collaboration with 4 new Boston based breweries (Mystic Brewery, Enlightenment Ales, Idle Hands, and Night Shift Brewing) have brewed a beer with Boston Beer Week in mind. The beer, dubbed Mass Appeal, is a strong golden ale brewed with fresh citrus zest and juice, dryhopped with Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Styrian Goldings hops, and fermented with a combination of yeast strains from each participating brewery. Mass Appeal will be the official Boston Beer Week beer.

Chef Dave has also joined in the Boston Beer Week fun by creating a special prix fixe menu to pair with Mass Appeal and other CBC beers. The menu is 3 courses, each paired with a beer for only $35. The prix fixe menu also premiers Tuesday May 29th and will be available for dinner through Sunday evening. Please see below for the menu.

On Tuesday, we’ll get the party started by tapping Mass Appeal at 5pm. We’ll be hosting brewers from each of the breweries involved. Todd and Jason from BeerAdvocate will join us as well, and as this will be the official kickoff party for an amazing Boston Beer Week, we’ll also feature a draft line of beer from each Mass Appeal brewery.
