Atlantic Hops is establishing a processing facility to pelletize locally grown hops for regional brewers and is pleased to offer this training opportunity for those interested in growing hops to help meet production needs.

Larchmont, NY (May 24, 2011): Atlantic Hops is hosting a workshop for all those interested in sustainable hops production in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The workshop will be held on July 16, 2011 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Doubletree by Hilton Tarrytown (455 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY). It is meant for current and aspiring hop farmers, as well as for educators, agricultural outreach specialists, and regional brewers. The focus will be on small-scale hops cultivation, including the basics of low impact hops horticulture, harvesting and processing. The market potential for locally grown hops will also be discussed. The workshop will be run by staff from Atlantic Hops and their Midwestern counterpart, Gorst Valley Hops. Registration is available online at http://www.atlantichops.com
