That's right. We teamed up with Nick from SweetWater and secretly brewed a cask for the bar and this will be your last chance to try it before it is gone forever.

The best part:

- No baby beer samples. Sit down and have a pint and actually get a chance to really enjoy this beer!

- No lines or absurd amounts of people in a festival setting. We've got a bar stool waiting for you.

- EXCLUSIVE to Cypress Street Pint & Plate. There are plenty of cask ales around Atlanta (sort-of) but we can guarantee you won't drink this beer anywhere else.

A little about the creation of Knobzilla:

As you may have read in the BA forums, the casks created for the SweetWater event were created using one of two base beers ("light"/"dark"). Amateur "brewers" representing many business around Atlanta chose spices to throw in a keg and hope for the best. We decided to take a different angle. THIS BEER WAS BREWED USING ALL-GRAIN HOMEBREW that was then mixed in a collaborative effort to step up the generic porter base up to a stout status. 7 grains were used to create a dark stout with hints of coffee and subtle chocolate all originating from the blended malts. Toasted American Oak was soaked in Knob Creek Kentucky bourbon and added to the mix along with all natural, real vanilla bean. All of these flavors combine to create a 3 dimensional, complex beer that seem to take you on a whirlwind of flavors.

We had a great time brewing what we think a cask ale should be and we are sad to see it go. Thank you so much to those of you who voted for our beer at the festival. It was a pleasant surprise and an honor to win such an award. We can't wait to brew again next year but for now, we are gonna unleash this beast one last time and this time we are doing it our way! Knobzilla Vanilla Oatmeal Stout will make it's final appearance for Beer Geek Tuesday, March 4th. Cask tapping at 7 PM. See you there!
