http://blogs.denverpost.com/beer/2012/10/01/joke-wynkoop-brews-rocky-mountain-oyster-stout/6330/ Looks like it will be making an appearance at GABF this year. Can't wait for the ISO posts... ISO: Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout; FT: My left nut!
I was just about to issue a "WTF?" as to why testicles were an ingredient in an oyster stout. Good thing I clicked on the article.
More from today's press release: Here's a pic of them preparing the testicles ... Blog post for even more info: http://www.wynkoop.com/beer-blog/item/150-wynkoop-to-release-ballsiest-beer-ever
That's a great idea... I have a skunk invasion at my place, I can just catch them, put them in the blender and use them for home brewing..
Swallow...? Really, how many people have had mikkeller beer geek brunch weasel? If I can drink weasel shit I'm pretty sure this won't be an issue either.
Oh man, you're probably so right, that's hilarious. I just hope it's been sold before the GABF deadline, or else it's not admissible.
@Saluki, that was a forgone conclusion what with your known love of balls. I mean, who among us HASN'T been to a tasting where the mic gets passed to Saluki for his thoughts, and he just proclaims - apropos of nothing aside from his unwavering dedication to all things testicular - "I love balls!"
If that's what you need to tell yourself to swallow this whole, go ahead. Maybe, if you hold the bottle from the bottom and give it a little tickle, it'll be great... The only meat I might like in my Beer is Bacon. Too bad Baller Stout was already taken.
some days, more than others, I remember what my dear old pappy told me, back in '65 I believe it was. During the "birds and bees" talk I believe. "Son, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it, do you understand?"
It's great seeing these comments, I hope you nuts will stop by and give our Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout a try at GABF or Wynkoop. We would never steer you wrong.
Guess it was a hit. Nationwide and year round. http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/01/03/bull-testicle-beer-to-be-sold-later-this-month/
