So the Christmas decorations are down and we are about to settle into the long cold winter here in the Northeast. Grey skies, freezing temperatures, etc. But that's good beer-drinking weather in my opinion. Other than Hopslam, what great winter seasonals are you looking forward to drinking in these next couple months?
Aren't you a bit late to be bringing up Winter beers? Another thread is about Sam Adams Spring Variety pack already being out!
Founders Imperial Stout, Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine, and epecially this winter, Surly Pentagram (Feb)
Arcadia's Shipwreck Porter is always something to look forward to in the winter months, as well as Abacus, but I guess neither are really seasonals.
Lagunitas Sucks Hopslam Green Flash Palate Wrecker Bigfoot Founders Imperial Stout and KBS Nugget Nectar Weyerbacher Insanity DC Brau On the Wings of Armageddon cans
Good lineup - Mine is a little different: 1] Nugget Nectar in 12 oz. bottles 2] Nugget Nectar in 22 oz. bottles 3] Nugget Nectar on draught
For boston area distribution. Hoping to score some Nugget Nectar this year. Never had it. Lagunitas Sucks. Mayflower Spring Hop. Smuttynose Baltic Porter.
I recently had some Old Man Winter Ale from Southern Tier. I thought it was pretty good, I'd buy it again.
I'm waiting for the next cold night to crack open a bottle of Southern Tiers Back burner barleywine, big foot, old ruffian and Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. I look forward to those the most during the winter. Oh, and I can't forget Avery's Old Jubilation and Great Divide's Hibernation ale for a nightcap.
