Exactly. I thought IPAs were actually designed to make long trips and stay drinkable longer than regular pale ales. Sure all beers will change with time, it just seems a bit weird that the brew that was designed to last longer is the one you're supposed to consume the quickest.

I buy and drink my hoppy beers, so only have Heady Topper and Hoponius Union right now. A few days ago Zoe, Lunch, Kern Citra, Duet and Pure Hoppiness would have been there as well. But alas I drank them all.

On the Hop side of the fridge - Sculpin, Hoptimum, Zombie Dust, Modus Hoperandi, Hopslam, Double Bastard, Bigfoot, Dogfish Head 120, Double Crooked Tree and Double Trouble. Now, I love me some Sculpin, ZD, and DCT, but to be honest, I prefer the Malt side of the fridge - Plead the 5th, Stone IRS, Founders IS, Central Waters BA Stout, Firestone Walker Porter, Arcadia Shipwreck BA Porter, Edmund Fitzgerald. Yum!

At the moment: Hoptimum Deviant Dale's 120 Minute (a single lonesome bottle in the back of the fridge) Mayflower Spring Hop Ale (hoppy red) Hoponius Union (hoppy lager) Jever (hoppy pils, more or less) Fluffy White Rabbits (hoppy tripel) ...and I'm slightly alarmed to realize I don't have any regular old IPAs on hand. I should probably remedy this at the first opportunity with a sixer of Hop Notch or Flower Power or Finestkind.

Haven't been huge into IPAs lately, Which changed when I got a 6er of Short's Freedom of '78 and a 4-pack of Hoptimum. Also got 3F Dreadnaught and Behemoth bombers and DH Double Crooked Tree on deck Cellaring some 120, Bigfoot, more Double Crooked, and Old Ruffian, so I suppose those are getting less hoppy.
