What time are you showing up to Zwanze Day at Crooked Stave?

Just taking a straw poll, unless there's some way we can all figure out a way to collude and just show up at like 10am so we can all get a good amount of sleep, to find out what time people are planning on showing up to Zwanze Day.

I'm planning on bringing some awesomeness for the lot line and hoping for a glorious day for everyone, and I'm willing to show up as early as 7am if absolutely necessary, so that's where I'll start this conversation. If it could be something more like 9am, I think that would be ideal (I would still like to have a little fun in line with bottle shares), but I have heard a lot of different things from people at the tap room and others planning on attending that lead me to believe that's not going to be good enough.

I fully recognize this might be the most naive post in the history of BA, but just trying it as an experiment.

I'm hoping to see everyone respond in lockstep the 9-10AM that you want to see. The earliest I can make is 7AM, just hope it's not a madhouse by then.

I am dropping the family off at DIA around 930 so I am thinking 10ish.

Right behind you. I just need to wash my hair, so I'll be there in about 139 hours.

As the saying goes, if you're not there already, you're too late. :D

In all seriousness I was aiming for 9am. I really don't want to be there for 6 hours. If I am too late I'm too late, I'll go home and drink my Mamouche instead, and be just as happy.

Josh, did you hear back if we're able to bring bottles to share in the parking lot? I presume so due to the fact that it's a private lot, unless the owner of the industrial business park has prohibited it.

All indications are that we're good to go. If that changes the day of, they're going to have to pry it out of my hands. Even so, we'll get creative, plus we still have food that can be made.

Cool, I'll bring my Mamouche to the party then.

I figured I'd cruise by and see what the line looks like at 10:30. If its ugly I'll just go home.

My hope is that it is ugly only with incredible beer. I would say that the likelihood of you turning around is low.

It's a shame that I'm tied up for work that AM. What do you guys think it'll look like in the afternoon?

Well because of threads like this, I'd say you don't have a chance in hell come 1-2pm

The tasting is at 1pm, so.... yea, doubt anything will be left from the 2 Cantillon kegs come 1:20pm.

You people need to get a life. It's only beer.

10:00 seems reasonable enough, especially if we can make an outing of it and share food/drink while waiting. Much better than the "I'm camping out all night" sentiment I half expected to see. I'd still say it's worth swinging by if you can't make it until the afternoon, you never know.

Nope...it's a bottle share and party in a parking lot.

Interesting comment from somebody with 6,835 reviews on a website dedicated to beer.

Aww, I had a wager going that Ratman would be the first Colorado BA to rate Zwanze 2012!

I think he was being sarcastically ironic...or ironically sarcastic

Change of plans for me. Going to hit the Parade at 'Koop instead.

I really hope that is the case, perhaps we should have a seminar on the proper use of the winky face ;)

Also I was being sarcastic other than refering to people that want to get there at 7:30.

Those of you that are planning to have a few drinks in line... think there will be a public restroom nearby?

If Crooked Stave doesn't open their doors until noon, that could potentially be a few hours of having to hold it in...

The Crooked Stave tasting room only has 1 bathroom with 1 "stall", and last time I was there the lock was broken. A porta-potty outside for such a large event might not be a bad idea. You reading this, Chad? ;)

Josh that was awesome. Just for making me giggle, I've got a special pour for you tomorrow morning! Pending we don't all get arrested and have tons of magical sour beers confiscated

Heard some people were on point enough to Pre-game it all night in an RV? Maybe their trading bathroom space for sours....?

If we just put the bottles and our snifters in paper bags, the cops will look the other way! Right?
