Gotta Love Costco, picked up two cases of Rogue Dead Guy Ale at about $7 a six. They may have screwed the hard liquor guys, but the beer is lookin' up.
I just need to get my ass in the car and drive down there to get one.... Yeah cant beat that. Shorts Huma at around 10.99 though these prices I wouldnt consider bargains as there are a lot of sixers around that price so it would be about average. Now thats bargain cheap Ill have to look out for the 12s of torpedo thats a deal too......
When is $ 10 a six a bargain? Genny Cream at $ 6 a 12 pack is not a bargain, that's a steal. My bargain beer that I still enjoy is Yuengling Lord Chesterfield. I can get that for $ 25 a case.
SN Bigfoot @ $8.97/6pak, Bridgeport Hop Czar @ $14.99/12pak, Any Sam Adams 12pak Sampler @ $9.99. ...wait, what does that giant can say over there...Steel Reserve??? j/k on the sr.
I'm currently living in the Philippines and craft beer is sadly unavailable. The best thing I can get is Cerveza Negra and at about $4.50 a sixer it isn't so bad.
Sly Fox Phoenix Pale Ale @ $7.99 a sixer. Also a fan of most Sixpoints which come in at $7.49 a four-pack of pounders. I used to get four-packs of Hop Rod Rye for $6.49 at Whole Foods but I think that was a mistake and they fixed it. Bummer.
Firestone Walker Union Jack @ $9.00 a six-pack. Also La Fin Do Monde @ 9.00 a four-pack. You can't go wrong with these prices.
I went to school in Colorado for a year and routinely slayed 12 packs of Steelys. I gained a lot from those experiences, including frostbite and a misdemeanor.
For a buck a bottle....there is always some Mission Street PA (Firestone Walker brewed) and some Sam Adams Boston Lager (insert O-Fest in the Fall) in the fridge. No need to drink anything of lesser quality when these are around.
Grand imperial porter 16.9 oz bottle for 2.50 Smuttynose 22oz bombers for 5.39 Berghoff Rock River Red 5.29 for a 6 pack
Where the hell can u get a case of zombie dust for 35? If this is the case I nead to look a little deeper at my $4$ approach to trades.that said ....lagunitas maximus, SN tumbler or pa, maybe some big flats.haha. Cheers
If you go to FFF and they have it. Problem is that half the times I drive down there based on representations ZD is in stock, it is gone by the time I get there.
Mission St. brews @ TJ's in SoCal. All brewed by Firestone Walker. Pale Ale is my favorite of the pack. Mission St. Anniversary Ale is always a deal, too. Really, anything that TJ's gets their hands on is usually sold at really great price. Costco in SD carried Ballast Point Double Dorado for $6/22oz bottle about two months back.
I drink Molson XXX like most people drink budlight. $5.99/6pk and 7.2%abv is a steal. My local Kroger has been slinging SN Bigfoots for 8.99/6pk all year so I've had my wife grab at least 1 everytime she's grocery shopping. The local craft stores are selling it for as much as $15.99. Hell, I think I'm sitting on at least 2 cases now.
Costco is doing a great job keeping local breweries on the shelf here in SD. We routinely see 8-pack mix packs of 22ozers from Ballast Point for $30, 24-packs from Stone & Karl Strauss, and the occasional single bombers of Lightening, amongst other breweries. Impressed by their craft beer savvy.
Full Sail Session Black Lager. A 12 pack of 11oz stubby bottles can easily be found for about $11-12, thats an amazing deal on a rather under-appreciated beer.
6 pack of 16 oz cans of PBR $5.00 22 oz Lagunitas Hop Stoopid $3.50 22 oz Port Brewing Wipe Out IPA $5.00
SN Torpedo is indeed a very good beer at a very reasonable price. But living in Northeast Wisconsin as I do, there is a lot of competition locally, that is if you're not strictly a hophead. Central Waters Satin Solstice as well as their other releases are comparably priced. So is Tyrannena, Lakefront Brewery, Hinterland, New Glarus, Capital, etc. Not to say I'm not dying to try all the beers that others mention that I haven't had, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I have in Wisconsin. Well, except for the fact that it smells like cow plop : )
