Finishing off a long day of work with a BCBS 2012, preceded by a Sucks. Cheers!

Edit: My roommate thought I had a problem when he saw me drinking at 9:00 AM!

Edit edit: Picture as requested. Backdrop is incidentally a "picture of my latest haul" (duty free, fuck yeah!)

The only problem I see is that you waited until 9 to start ;)

*Since a bunch of posts got deleted for whatever reason here is what happened.

OP posts thread with no pics. I say he needs pics and that he is having a helluva breakfast. He then posts picture.

So, I went to Liquor Shed to pick up a Growler of Snake River Pandemonium Belgian Quad, grabbed a couple of 6 packs and headed to the counter. Then I see, what's this?, Lagunitas Sucks 6 packs. I put the other 2 back and grabbed 2 of the Sucks. It kind of kills the trade that was set up but man....I'm drinking it now...this beer rules! $8.19 a sixer is a pretty good price too.

Hoppringill's American Pale Ale spiced with ginger, rosemary and pecan nut shells. Hopped with citra (single hop). Fresh and yeasty.

I think the original thread was deleted because the OP asked what MI brews they were drinking. Not all BAs have access to brews from Michigan..

Doesn't matter if all have access or not. Still a "What are you drinking" thread.
Just thought I'd add that it was MI's birthday and IF you had some MI beer would you be celebrating with it.

I will be posting my MI lineup as I get to them after lunch. :) ;)

Lousy picture quality, but delightful nonetheless.

Apparently, it mattered to the Bros or they wouldn't have deleted the thread.

That being said, HB to MI! I've had a lot of great brews from there by trade and buying online,\.

Doing some work in the basement, figured I'd start early.

Grabbed my Foothills footed glass! I feel like I forget about this one too often.

Another 'try' today. This time a bomber of:

...and I think good, but not great. The hops profile seeming a bit mono-dimensional to me it seems. Still, won't have trouble putting it away either! Not complaining either!

And I'm allowing myself this Saturday to surgically poke around the homestead, tend to the fire, watch the birds and forest and the snow. Hope you can too!

You gonna go for a strike? Or maybe a spare, which I guess would be drink till you pass out and then finish them off tomorrow.

Point of clarification: I wasn't drinking this warm enough (Duh!), and now I think this is very good maybe even better (temp is everything sometimes); more balanced than I appreciated, and just more appealing as I get more familiar with this. Initial impressions are just that--initial!

A strike indeed. I've noticed though, and I may not be alone here, but Sucks just seems better to me.

A side by side was necessary. My taste buds were doubting the cherry flavor. Cherry flavor confirmed!

I've never gotten to try sucks. That whole no lagunitas in Kentucky kinda, well, sucks. I know I love hopslam, but hopefully I can find some sucks in Tennessee or something.

I am really liking it myself. Even the wife liked it and she isn't much of a beer fan. I am sitting on two more bottles also. Going to give those some cellar time.

The first few sips made me think I was drinking a regular BCBS (hence the regular in the side by side). It's weird, once I did the comparison, the cherry flavors all of a sudden showed up. Slight cherry in the aroma. More cherry and some tartness in the taste. Really good beer, but given how difficult it is to obtain, it's not really any better than regular BCBS, IMO.
