Jeremiah Weed has an almost mythical reputation with USAF fighter pilots. this song was written and performed by a couple F-16 guys.

    Hopslam Jan. 10 2013 bottling.

Seems more hazy this year and less floral. For me 2011 was the best one of the last 3 years as far as bottles.

    Madison got that early eh?

I understand why they did it, but I wish they kept the old label..

Second time having this one, first time was about a year and a half ago and it was one of the first craft brews I bought. Don't know why it's taken so long to revisit it but very glad I did.

I'm drinking from the other side of the pond again. First, O'Hara's Irish Stout and now, a Samuel Smith Organic Chocolate Stout, my first but definitely not my last.

Glass is better than the beer that is a bit old.

OK, so my first of the evening was an un-named try, and while it was OK, I've got lots of better than 'OK's' in the icebox right now, looking at me and wondering why I didn't choose them. I'm wondering too. It's a minor dilemma, this beer trying thing; sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. This last was, although not a drain pour, surely didn't impress in any way either. So I'm off to a stand-by that can come in and serve as an antidote to my previous disappointment. This, a new haul, was warm when it got home, but these frigid temps make getting this cooled in time a cinch. Cheers! Lest it freezes, I better get it now!

Dark Cherry Stout from Teal's Brewery while watching The Beer Hunter. (very small brewery with extremely limited distro - that is to say it's in my basement and doesn't get farther than the living room)

Is this the Oak Horizontal or the regular version? If the Oak version, how is it? I've seen it around lately but haven't picked it up yet.
