Good morning, folks! It's truly an ugly day here in Austin with rain, sleet, and 30 degree weather. Just got home from work (after having to work on my day off!) and decided to crack a beer. This was the bottle that came out of the beer fridge:

Must be the only Third Shifter around right now. :)

Beer #1 was a fliptop, so I switched to something more winter-like, Texas WALEZ, bro.:

I'm consistently confused as to what day it is or if it is evening or morning.

And I've been doing this crap for a decade now! LOL

Day off. Decided to start off a little earlier than usual. Tasty brew, nothing earth shattering, but definitely solid. First time bottled. Cheers![IMG]

And here I was, thinking no more beer until the weekend... lol...

Finally got around to trying the Saison Dupont - a Beer of Fame item off my list - and what I assume to be an archetypal saison, no?
I go for the small bottle with a new beer when I have the option, but I could've easily consumed the bomber of this one. I was done with the glass before I was done with the review/post. :p Drinkability: high.
Lotsa sediment made its way into the glass - you can kinda see the cloud of dark specks...

    A great anytime beer.

Sub zero temperatures, so I'm warming my giblets with my last bottle of Kujo. Well, the central heating's doing its part I guess. Whatever.

Just dremel-sanded my dog's nails down, so I'm drinking an aroma-heavy 2011 BCBS to get the smell of burnt hair and nail dust out of my nose....and the beer tastes great as well!!! Happy Tuesday! Cheers!

Yes, I'm drinking big company beer. What can I say, I'm a big sucker for fruit infusions.

Sweet dreams to my continental European friends with this nightcap:

    Mikkeller George! Calvados (12.12% ABV)

Way too expensive for a 25cl bottle and the calvados is a little weird to be aging a stout on, it seems. Pretty astringent and it goes straight to your head. But holy hell, is this a great base beer with some massive hairy balls on it. The Bourbon version is still the finest European imperial stout I've ever had and though this might be batting in a different league, it's still a stellar beer.

Sure, it's named after George Foreman, but here's a tribute to another boxer featuring my favorite R. Kelly song!

Work was a bitch today... opening with this guy. Bottled 1/8/13 and drinking borderline sexually.
