Decided to open my bottle of Jester King/Mikkeller Weasel Rodeo. No head which surprised me. But the taste is awesome lots of coffee and chocolate with a lil smokey spice at the end of it. Wouldn't mind trying the barrel aged version. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/24018/84150

English style barleywine with honey malt. Woah!!

Had the Nelson last night (not my cup of tea) but loving this one.

Southern Tier's Backburner Barleywine oak aged. Solid.

Another cherry popper tonight. Not my fave, a little more bitter after taste than I prefer

Better than I remember...It has been sometime since I have grabbed this one myself. I tend to stick with the more West Coast style APA/IPA's but this was nice and I would def have again. Far from worst of the year IMO lol

I am sure its 50 during the day in Portland but right now unless the weather channel is telling lies, it is 31 deg. in Portland and someones beer is freezing on a truck and i know it is not mine. Seems foolish to take a chance on losing a few hundred dollars in sours that will not be insured. I appreciate the info on the Vlad, i will for sure grab a few. Cheers!

Hmm, I'm surprised they don't guarantee safe shipment (seems out of character). We've had a cold front come through that has stuck around for about a weak, but it is not normal by any means. Next weak we are back to normal temps (mid 40's - mid 50's). I've lived here for almost 30 years, it is rare that we ever see bellow freezing temps here. 5% ABV freezes at 28° F and a 10% ABV freezes at 25° F, most of Cascades beers average around 8% ABV. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, just sharing the info with you.

I'm having Batch 19 right from the bottle.

Finished my last ZD, currently 3/4pack debating to finish it or do something darker...

Decided to dust one of these off. Count me in the camp that likes a little age on KBS...2011...
