Bull City Burger and Brewery makes an amazing 1960's Cognac Barrel Aged for 1 year Barleywine, called Olden Horny (as opposed to the Youngun Horny thats fresh)
DELICIOUS. This place also has amazing burgers, by the way. Everything is made in house. From the buns to the mayonnaise and mustard. Everything from local sources. No kidding. Pretty solid beer lineup too. The pale ale was awesome and their winter warmer was a nice mix of dark and hoppy.
then I had a 21stAmendment Marooned on Hog Island. Love my 4 pack
Now Lagunitas Little Sumpin Wild. Got a 22oz on markdown for 2 dollars so it was well worth it.
On the horizon is another Brown Shugga

North Peak Vicious - American Wheat IPA. An interesting conglomeration of flavors: sugared citrus, bark, wheaties, spice. Not bad with Buffalo Chicken soup.

My girlfriend and I are having a Stout Sunday while watching football.

Started by polishing off a growler of Intuition Truck Stop Stout and now trying this:

It's not good but we have plenty left to drink including some offerings from Lagunitas and Left Hand.

I've heard this has already happened. A friend in Indy old me most places limited it to 2 bottles/per person. Apparently only some stores Ben received any and I guess most only got 1 case.

did I say Brown Shugga? Cause I meant to say Sucks. Damn. Side by side these are both amazing. I have a new respect for Lagunitas. Personally, I think their normal IPA is crap. Ok not a terrible beer but certainly not great and barely good. Everything else I've had (minus Cappuccino Stout) is great

Thanks for clarifying. That debunks the rumor that 4 packs werent available at Bells and all of the 4 packs went to distribution. I am quite jealous.

This beer comes from Portland and our average temp is no where near that. We're averaging between 40-50 degrees right now. So since you live in Florida I would assume the route this takes is down I-5 to southern California, and then across I-10 to Florida. It takes about 8 hours to make it to Sacramento, which I'm guessing will be its first stop (or close by) and they're averaging 50-60 degrees right now. From there it only gets warmer, although in the desert I know it can drop down to the mid 30's at night. Still should be no issue with the insulation of the packaging, the other boxes, and the truck itself (might even go inside a warehouse to be sorted and transferred so you really wouldn't need to worry). Not to mention if you actually bought a bottle directly from Cascade I think they would replace a damaged bottle. I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

P.S. - I've had the Blueberry a couple times, it's completely worth it. Wait another month though and you'll be able to get a bottle of Vlad the Imp Aler (my favorite). The Blueberry should still be around so you could get both.

Just popped this open while firing up the grill. Really enjoyed the Seahawks- Falcons game, my favorite game of the post season so far (full disclosure I hate Ray Lewis and the Ravens, so the 2OT game wasn't my favorite thing to watch).

Making me want to crack another one too. Hopslam has been patiently waiting though, and I don't need to soil the Notes reputation with the derogatory nomenclature of "line-cutter".

Picked this up back in Chicago when I flew out there to shoot this 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda Convertible ( http://desert-motors.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=298 ). Was just getting into beer and the guy at the bottle shop I went to suggested this. Only had space for one bottle and regret choosing this, of all things. Still, more than two and a half years old and pretty tasty. But I'm sure that shop was just FILLED with things I'd rather have right now.

Reason I finally opened this bottle is that I just realized I can actually go buy bottles of it a local store, right now.

Cascade Blueberry followed by BBPt5. Two of the best beers I've had in awhile. BBPt5 is the best BA stout I've had to date. Effectively flawless.
