Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Always a great selection, especially after a trip to the beach in the 82 degree heat!

Okay, so technically this is yesterday and I'll get a lot of moaning, but this was just one of those unforgettable beer geek moments that's gonna stick with me for the longest time:

De Dolle Brouwers Stille Nacht Reserva 2000. It's probably the most technically perfect beer I've ever had. It completely and utterly blew me away. You know it's special when even Kulminator hasn't been selling it for the past five years. This was the very last bottle that owner Dirk found in the cooler and he wanted to open it for my friend as a favor he owned him. I was lucky enough to get to share in this incredible brew, which just shows their passion and generosity. I owe him. Big time.

And the obligatory side-by-side with a SNR 2005.

    Cheers.

So if you joke not sadly does that mean you joke happily? Angrily? Begrudgingly? With gaiety? With fervor? So many other ways to joke besides sadly

Not yet. I guess i am going through lupulin threshold shift or something. I have ample quantity left to get over that phase and get back to it.

Firestone Wookey Jack Black IPA and the Denver/Ravens game. This beer is making me rethink my low appreciation for rye beers. Is it the roasted malts that compliment the rye?

About to crack this bad boy open. It's the "God is Goed" Wild Thing. I brought it back from Amsterdam and have had it safely tucked away since December for a special occasion.
