Good evening BAs! Enjoying a couple Barleywines tonight. First had a tasty Third Coast Ale. Pleasantly surprised to see Sasquatch left a few cases at the local store of fresh Bigfoot. Yayyeee, my precious.

Seen the Kendrick Lamar album on a few year-end lists. Might be my favorite song of the album. Cheers all!

Passed this up so many times after having an awful experience with Tilted Smile (drainpour)...will be revisiting this soon.



If you don't like this beer & video, you might be fawking high...or not

still some bourbon and heat on the backend but not quite as bold as it is fresh. if you want it mellower and more one dimensional then age it. if you like it how it is now then drink up, cause they will make more next year.

That last pic gave me a headache!

Just had a little Backwoods Bastard with my roommate . . . after talking to her about what kind of beer she likes, I got the feeling she'd enjoy Backwoods and apparently I hit the nail on the head. Yaaaaaay.

It's good, pretty tasty and I see the appeal but I'm beginning to think I'm not the craziest about beers aged in bourbon barrels. Not non-stouts, anyway. BCBS, I enjoyed quite a bit. But Insanity and Backwoods, while both pretty tasty, I think turn the oaky, vanilla character of bourbon barrels into something resembling apple juice. Anyone else get this, or am I crazy?

The other day I asked my wife if she'd hate me if I put a kegerator in the basement.
She said that she contemplated making that a Xmas present.
