Zombie Dust right now.. I've had it before on-tap but this is the first time bottled.. it's an amazing world class IPA and I'd drink it any day, but it doesn't leave other IPAs in the dust, no pun intended.
You're close enough that you can stop by Victory, pick up a single bottle and then decide for yourself. (Everyone's taste's are different.) I love Old Horizontal and I love barrel aged beers so for me it was a no brainer. I definitely prefer it at room temperature (as my glass warmed up), the bourbon and oak are pretty agressive which isn't everyone's "cup of tea". I posted the first review if you want to know more about it and I'll be re-visiting my review as the beer ages. (Bought a few extra to lay down.) Since you're local, just think Old Horizontal with strong oak and bourbon flavors. It's pretty boozy right now which is to be expected with a young barrel aged barley.
Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier - refreshing & good Brooklyn Sorachi Ace - better than the last time I had it over the summer Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale - delicious
I'm stuck in fucking Golden Gate Bridge traffic...tell you what I'm NOT drinking: any of the Wake n Bake, Expedition, Backwoods Bastard or Choklat I've got in my bag. Fuckers, messin with my beer is like messin with my emotions. And you know this, MAN!
just had a delicious artichoke and mushroom pizza, now sipping on a 1L growler of Deep Sleep from Tired Hands...smoked black winter lager.
I'm stuck working tomorrow but fuck it I'm starting the weekend off early. Doing some real work on a couple of easy drinking ipas. This earlier, DFH 60 minute now.
Listening to this: [/quote] ftw! and here I thought I was the only one that still listened to Savatage!
Too cold to walk to my usual spots, so I decided to get something at the grocery store. Never can go wrong with some Two Hearted, I tell you what.
2011 Mad Elf (recycled pic) I only have one these left, so I think I'm going to hang on to it until next year to see how it holds up. Cheers BA!
Just opened my first ever Marshal Zhukov and pairing it with a slice of chocolate cookie dough cheesecake!!! Life is good!!! Cheers guys!
Starting the evening with this. The last one I had of these was a 2010 I lost in the abyss of my fridge. Now trying a fresh 2012 one. Have to say they were very different, but I am leaning towards liking fresh slightly more. Great coffee forward beer. Next up Moo-Hoo. Cheers!
I do like TSO, but I prefer the band that existed before TSO. Why start something if you're not going to finish? This is the last of the Project 12 pack. I like the vanilla and light caramel notes on this one. Listening to:
