Hey all, gonna be in Vegas this weekend and I was looking for some great places to go to in order to get my craft beer on. I saw the Pub at Monte Carlo, etc, but wanted to know if anyone had some other suggestions. I will be staying at the Paris, taxiing back and forth. Help a fellow BA out!
Guess I will be hitting Aces and Ales. If anyone is bored Saturday Night, give me a shout. Will be in LV for a meeting that starts Sunday. Wouldn't mind hanging out with some BA's and shoot the sh!t and drink some good brews.
This comes up a lot. This thread should help you out: http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/best-brewpub-in-las-vegas.66236/
In my experience, vegas is a bit of a craft beer wasteland. A few suggestions.. -Whole Foods just south of the strip/south of mandalay bay. -Whole Foods in Henderson -Khoury's in Henderson is probably your best overall bet, but a bit of a drive from the strip. They have a few taps at Khoury's as well, so you can drink some beer while shopping. current taplist... http://www.khourysfinewine.com/Sip_with_us.html -Aces and Ales is decent, as long as your fine with a room full of cigarette smokers. But I guess it is vegas we're talking about after all. -freakin frog, my experience, is a ripoff. Impressive bottle cellar but the prices will make you laugh hysterically. Hope this helps.
While prices are still unbelievably high at most places, the Vegas strip has come a long way in a short time. 5-6 years ago your options were pretty much "go to Burger Bar" or "catch a cab/rent a car." A few weeks ago I noticed that there was at least one halfway decent beer spot in nearly every major casino. Some I'd even label full-on excellent. Even the Wallgreens built into the Planet Hollywood has a walk-in beer cooler. The downside at this point comes down to pricing. There's a 2X if not more mark-up at most places. Burger Bar is still the only spot on the Strip that seems to have reasonable prices. If money is no object $ - Vegas would actually be quite the beer town.
I'm sure some of us will be at Money Plays Sunday night. It's not far from the strip and has some good taps!
As a local, Aces&Ales is the best craft brew bar by far IMO. There are a couple local spots as well that have some good brews, but unfortunately not super close to the strip. There's Tenaya Creek and Big Dog's Draft House to start. If you have any other questions, feel free to BM me. Always glad to help. Enjoy your stay. Cheers!
Between Burger Bar and The Pub I would take The Pub. Prices are about the same but The Pub's selection is far more voluminous. There's a place on the strip in the Venetian with ridiculous prices but advertises it has some cask beers, so that might be worth checking out.
The place your talking about in the Venetian is public house . They do have cask beers available and are usually the only reason I go there plus it's across the street from my work. The food is ok but not worth the price but the service is good. A good option is to grab a beer or two and toss them in the plastic cups they offer on your way out and sip them while walking the strip!
