When I'm craving that signature pine/citrus-hop IPA flavor, these are my 5 (+1) favorite IPAs - in alphabetical order:

    Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA
    Breckenridge's 471 IPA
    Founders' Centennial
    Founders' Double Trouble
    Green Flash's Palate Wrecker
    Shipyard's XXXX IPA

...BUT, based on the style classifications on BA and the reviews/scores I've done/given, it seems my true favorite IPAs are not typical IPAs...

    Belgian:
Hop God Reserve (more like a BSPA? - reminds me of a Duvel more than an IPA)
Piraat (nothing at all like other IPAs in taste - a real gem, and one of my all-time faves)

    American:
SN's Torpedo (slightly more along the lines of an American strong ale)

    Imperial:
DFH Burton Baton (that barrel-aging creates a unique taste)
DFH's 90 minute IPA (chewier and maltier than most)

    *Honorable mention:
    TIPA (triple IPA):
Founders' Devil Dancer (is there even another triple IPA?)

    Cheers!

Dude, how does it feel to be so much better/way too good for DFH? You're just too cool fo' skool! You should send Sam some of your own masterful proprietary recipes, so he can finally learn how it's done by the pros.

I haven't had many of the BA favorites such as any of the HF brews, Pliny, etc. One day, I suppose.

Combining is hard, as i will be unable to mention many fantastic beers:

    Bell's Hopslam
Three Floyd's Dreadnaught (only had it once, sad)
    Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
    Founder's Harvest Ale
    Bell's Two Hearted
    Sierra Nevada Hoptimum

Well, that's six, and I am leaving off fantastic beers from Surly, Odell and Stone.

I had Troeg's Perpetual IPA this weekend for the first time thanks to a trade from a great BA here (You know who you are... Thanks for the Evo Lot#3 and Dogfish Head 120, also!). I agree that it's up there with your post.

As for my Top 5 which is changing all the time... Except for Heady Topper :D

    Alchemist - Heady Topper
New England Brewing Co. - Ghandi Bot
    Green Flash - Imperial IPA
    Ithaca - Flower Power
