Came across this...actually one of the better lists I've seen: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/Menuism/craft-beer-cans_b_1731447.html#slide=more245316 I'd personally add Caldera IPA to the list....how about you? Cheers!
Oskar Blues posted this on FB today. I 100% agree that Caldera IPA should have been added, plus all and every Oskar blues brew. Fu-CAN movement I say. Cheers to beer in a can.
I'd include Sante Fe Java Stout, Southern Star Buried Hatchet, Austin Beerworks Black Thunder, etc etc. Those are 15 great beers, but there are lots of other good ones in cans too.
I have to agree, I was really glad to see uncommon brewers out of Santa cruz proper on that list. and obviously Dales, Deviant Dales gubina etc..
Top 15 Beers in a Can 1. Fresh Heady Topper 2. 2-day old Heady Topper 3. 3-day old Heady Topper 4. 4-day old Heady Topper 5. 5-day old Heady Topper 6. 6-day old Heady Topper 7....... You get the idea.
Another vote for Heady, Ten Fidy, and GKnight. oh and Coffee Bender. and when Jai Alai and Maduro get in cans, those are a must.
These lists are like All-Star Games [pick any sport]. There's always somebody upset because someone is left out or someone they don't like is included.
Relax. We do it all the time. Wait until there's a thread titled ``15 Most Overhyped Canned Beers''. Then you'll see a real shit-show.
Oh, I'm relaxed and I know it's done all the time. That's the reason for my post. It's just another ho-hum subjective list.
Exactly. This is just one writers list published on what happens to be a fairly popular online news site. No one can really complain about any of those beers being on the list because they all have a pretty damn good reputation. If you happen to disagree, get a job with HuffPost and make your own list.
Just had for the 1st time and loved it so i will add 21st Amendment Hop Crisis to the list. So smooth for the abv.
Glad to see Barney Flats on it. Ten Fidy I expected to see. Should have seen Dales Pale Ale and Sante Fe's Imperial Java Stout on it.Haven't had many of what did make it but I'd take either of those over: Maui's Cococunut Porter, Ska's Modus Hoperandi, New Belgium's Shift (and Avery's White Rascal but I don't care for that style).
Namely Furious, but Surly overall rocks, absolutely agree! I thought it was interesting that Heady is displayed twice but at least it wasn't counted twice.
The ones I was thinking of you all beat me to it. I'm glad to see Sun King on that list, was introduced to that one over the summer while spending a few days with the family back home in Indiana; I thought it was pretty awesome to sit in the stands watching the Indianapolis Indians and enjoying Some Sun King.
Surly and Oskar Blues beers............then also included Heady Topper, Gandhi Bot, Buried Hatchet, Torpedo, Red Racer, Pako IPA, and Daisy Cutter.
Seriously? No NEBCo love? Gandhi-Bot is surely missing from the list and I'd have to argue that either Sea Hag or 668 The Neighbor of the Beast belongs on that list to..maybe even both. Back in Black was ok, but if they want to stick with 21st Amendment then Hop Crisis was much better. Resin I've had and I agree, it's might tasty along with Maui Brewing's CoCoNut Porter (thanks turfy!).
Abrasive, Furious, Dales Pale Ale, Ten Fidy, Old Chub, Deviant Dales, Heady Topper, Torpedo, Resin, Buried Hatchet, Pako IPA, Red Racer, GKnight, Gandhi Bot and Caldera IPA.
