I once almost died from a virus. My girlfriend at the time took me to the emergency room. 3 days in the hospital. We broke up a few years later.

When the wife went to the supermarket and saw something she thought I liked, I got a call. But I drove her crazy asking her to look for the bottled on or best by date so she has stopped looking and calling. My loss I guess - but the supermarket always has the oldest beer so I wanted to be careful.
But now she will gladly go get growlers filled for me since there's no date to look for.

Hm. My girlfriend hates beer which means I get to have more for myself. That's a pretty good service, I'd say.

My Nephew and His wife always bring a case of Pliny and Blind Pig when they come up for a visit from Napa. They love Rogue XS Stout, so I always buy a few cases for them to take home.

Best thing I got from a family member was probably my home brew setup from my dad.

My wife is also great at hooking me up. Not only is my stocking full of beer at Xmas, but she brings beer home for me from grocery shopping all the time.

Add in my cousin-in-law who ships me beer from Chicago, and I've got a pretty cool family.

My bf always drives so I get to drink more whenever we're out :D Also, while I normally buy my own stuff, he always pays for dinner so whenever we're at a brewery or having beer with dinner, it's free for me <3

My girlfriend just started working at Iron Hill, so I expect in the coming months to be the beneficiary of many discounted growlers and burgers. I think employees have early access to bottle releases too. The perks they get make me a little jealous. If I ever need a night and weekend job that will be the first place I apply.

My parents have stopped at Bruisin Ales in Asheville, NC twice for me on their way back to IL from Myrtle Beach, and have brought beers back from their place in AZ as well.

My girlfriend came with me to Vermont this past weekend. She waited in the car for an hour and a half while I was in line at Hill Farmstead and didn't complain at all. Also, we went to Three Penny Taproom and the Alchemist. Needless to say, she's a keeper. :D

My wife is on a business trip and just spent 45 minutes on her phone with me reading all the Bottled On dates for every IPA at a Whole Foods in Louisiana. Hope she drives safely....;)

my fam won't do anything to encourage my beer habit. At best, if I call them a few hours before I get home, they might pop a brew into the fridge. That being said, I have a beer-centric friendship where we definitely scratch each others' backs.

I almost accidentally took a sip of a BMC which I thought was a SNPA. She jumped in front of me and smacked the beverage out of my hand. We've been dating ever since.

My boyfriend brews me whatever beer I want. We homebrew once or twice a week usually, and I always get a say on what we make. We're getting a recipe ready for a Belgian-style Imperial IPA. Fortunately, he's as into craft beer as I am.

My wife went to a Binnys in downtown Chicago (about a 90 minute drive) on Black Friday to stand in line and try to win me a Rare to surprise me with on Christmas. She didn't win me anything, but thats a pretty damn awesome thing to do anyway.

My wife is my permanent designated driver for beer events and although she doesn't love beer as much as I do she definitely sacrifices extra by not drinking anything.

And my sister-in-law is currently in line at Upland Brewery in the freezing cold for their lambic release. She makes up for the other in-laws.

My wife travels constantly to denver but is not into beer. She always hits up the local bottle shops and even knows some of the beer guys now. In September she drove up to Avery just to get me a few bottles of Rumpkin. While there chatted up a guy who sold her a bottle of CS Oculus from his trunk, first of their beers i ever had, now i am a Reserve Club memeber. Needless to say she usually ends up with atleast $100 worth of beer in her suitcase for the trip home. True Love!

Gf found BCBS Coffee for me a couple months ago. We split it on New Years. She also surprises me with new glassware on a frequent basis... All of my favorite glasses are from her.

She also was the one to find hopslam and zombie dust when I had given up hope.

My mother in law put a bottle of Fuller's ESB on the table at dinner last night. She looked me in the eye and asked me why I wasn't drinking the beer. "Are you sick?" were her words.

My go to guy, owner of my favorite liquor store, went to Central Waters anniversary party and brought me back some fifteen. He held them aside for me, and didn't even charge me more than he paid. thats more than a salesman, hes a good friend.

Sitting in growler line at the BOT release last year at Hill Farmstead for 2+ hours, being a DD for my friend and I for The Festival, getting tickets to the Great Taste of the Midwest, bringing back Surly, shipping her brothers end of a trade back because he took forever, and building me shelves in the basement for my cellared beers. That's why I proposed.

My girlfriend can't be bothered to pick up beer for me. :( I didn't even try to ask her to get me some Hopslam when I was out of town.
