Me three. It just sounds delicious. According to the TX Label Approval thread, this beer should be available real soon.
The Ben E Keith rep for CM Westgate reckoned "two or three weeks" when I asked him on Wednesday. He said that Lukcy Basartd would probably be here before Mint Chocolate, maybe next week.
To update as of yesterday, looks like thhhe Mint Chocalate should be soon; maybe this week and looks like Double Bastard will arive before Lucky. As always, nothing is set in "Stone".
As per the BEK salesrep - Austin only got 20 cases of Mint Chocolate & Lucky Bastard will be Available @ E1G tomorrow...
Got a bottle of Mint Chocolate and Lucky Basterd at Sunrise in Austin today. They got a single case of each, 1/person, so get it while you can.
Same here. Hopefully there will be some in the Clear Lake area so I can send my wife out to get me some.
found two bottles at south lamar wine and spirits. they also had some das wunderkind and chateau rogue pumpkin patch ale hidden in the back. i saw 120 min, 75 min, bitches brew and saison du buff on the shelf.
I picked up some Stone Mint Chocolate, and Shmaltz Sweet 16 last night. Cant wait to try the Mint Chocolate tonight!
Picked these babies up today, then promptly took them to the car wash with me. I'll be drinking one tonight, and will report back. BTW - got em at Specs RR. They got 1 case, limit is 2, and they're in the back.
Still have about a case of this up at Bangers. I like how they made three different labels for each of the collaboraters for this beer. The Iron Fist one is hilarious.
Not looking good yet, but I'm stopping at tw or knightly before hitting the plane, so cross some fingers
This is a beer that definitely improves as it warms. First sip, cold and right out of the bottle, showed no real signs of the mint or chocolate flavors. After 5-8 minutes coming up to temp, however, its a totally different beer. Gentle mint flavor that is well defined but doesn't overwhelm the beer, with a nice chocolate backbone. I'm glad I got 2, and honestly might grab a few more if they're still around in a few days.
I thought it was a chocolate bomb start to finish, but didnt get the mint as strong as I would of liked. Damn good beer nonetheless...
I guess this hasn't made it to Houston yet. I haven't heard any of the Houston guys mention finding or trying any.
Is this bottle only? someone suggested it was on tap at the brewery exchange in austin, but i dont see it on the website.
I dont think its on tap there, I think they're selling the bottles. Their Fb post about it showed a picture of the bottle.
Ditto, give a shout about bay area specs of the blackhawk shell. Im hoping they will get it, thats some small bottled expensive beer to drive down town for...
