They're lumped in. I mean most hate comes from the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys play in Arlington. Arlington is in Tarrant county... Ft Worth is Tarrant county.

Though who really cares what an Austinite has to say. ;) or am I ;)

You're right. Though we don't get much from Austin up here, that would make me care.

I would rather drive on 635 in rush hour traffic than the 35-W north of downtown to Alliance Airport pretty much any time of day or night.

Any of this left in DFW? I just moved here.

DFW is huge. Which part are you in? I've seen it at Tom Thumb and Whole Foods around Frisco/Plano. I'm sure CM in Ft Worth still has plenty.

Anyone see this in large quantity around Austin for a good price?

Spec's (who had it for $6.99) only got 1 case @ Brodie. I've only been able to find it at other places (bottle shops, CM) for $8.99. I wanna buy a case, but I also want to save $24. LOL.

I'm right by the airport. I just didn't want to make the parameters too narrow, after seeing how little of this was available in Austin.

Specs in Fort Worth told me they are out and that's it for the season. Wish I would have bough more at 6.99$.

Has anyone popped a 2012? I just opened mine and it had no Carb, and it tasted infected.

Someone found some at Las Colinas beverage, so you might check there (I think that's the closest place to you, though I'm not sure about grocery stores). Lonestar also had plenty last I checked. It seems DFW got a lot of it, with most of it being distributed East of 35E.

I opened mine a week or so ago. It had good carbonation and tasted fine.

I've had a few bottles from the 2012 batch and all tasted fine and had no issues.

Damn, I was just there. Looked for it, but didn't see it. Probably should have asked. I may give it another try tomorrow.

Market Street in Colleyville still had 8-10 bottles as of lunch time today - $8.99, if any of you NE Tarrant guys are still looking.

From speaking to someone it seems that Specs Midtown sold them all without sending out to smaller stores. :shakes head:

Not 100% sure, but 2 larger stores I frequent said they ordered it and got none. It's becoming standard business practice for them.

Also just a follow up on those saying their 2011 had issues after opening a year later. I had 6 bottles I cellared from 2011. Over the last week I drank all, and they were excellent, no issues.

I would like to know those who had issues how did you store?

I haven't heard of any "Issues" with 2011 per se (someone earlier in this thread mentioned that they thought they got an infected 2012), I have said before that I prefer it fresh though. I had one from the brewery (Rahr provided it on a weekly radio beer show that I'm on) recently that was a 2011. They had it in cold storage away from light the whole year. I don't personally think it's a beer that improves with age, but I know others disagree.

At the end of the day, we all enjoy different things about beer, so what I desire, isn't necessarily what someone else will desire.

    Cheers,
    Chad

I had mentioned a bad bottle, but it was on a 2012. Picked it up from heb vintage park, and opened it that same night. It was completely flat, and from reading what an Infected beer would taste like that's my conclusion.

Side note: The 2011 I found a couple weeks ago at an heb was fantastic. So i don't believe it was improper handling or storage on Hebs end.

D&Q Beer Station had some yesterday. A friend and I picked up three bottles total... he picked up one for him and his cousin..... I picked up just one. There were only three or four left on the bottom shelf after our purchase. No idea if there was any more in back.

Checked yesterday, sold out. Did pick up a bottle at Grapevine Beer and Wine, had a few left on the shelf.

For any BA's in the Clear Lake area.. the HEB in Friendswood on FM 518 has several bottles of this in their bomber section... looks like they just put a case out... I picked one up today.. I already have another one... two will get me through till next year.
