Rodenbach Vintage is the best they still make... but I don't think we even get that here in TX. Still got some 09's in the fridge of that one.

    BTW... Rodenbach works like this...
    Rodenbach Red... 33% sour beer
Rodenbach Grand Cru... 66% sour beer
    Rodenbach Vintage... 100% sour beer

All around 6% ABV. Grand Cru will have the most pucker per dollar in TX though (that's the one I always get if I get up to Dallas :) )

Sorry, trying to be funny. IMO, best Belgium sour out there, especially for the price. I'll take it over the Duchess.

Brewed off Magnolia in Ft Worth does growler fills and I believe has Temptress on right now. It's in close proximity to 35W.

Once again I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made suggestions in this thread. Unfortunately, I ended up being in something of a hurry to get back today, so I had to limit myself to one stop. I chose Specs in FW, just because it was close to the highway, and I could get in and out easily from 35W.

Next time I come up I want to hit up Halls, Lonestar, Craft and Growler, and a few other places mentioned. I didnt end up with a huge haul, but did get the 2 things I really wanted, so thanks again!

Temptress is starting to trade really well. Glad you got some Grand Cru, the cheaper and sweeter version of RU-55.

And at half the price! If the Grand Cru is at all decent, $8 a bottle is a steal. If not, they become trade extras. :)

It's more than decent, it's one of the best sour reds there is, period. That's my opinion anyway.

I agree. I wish Grand Cru had that nice aftertaste that RU-55 has though.

I'm stuck in traffic right now btw. In Hurst off 183...
