iPhone's are terrible for everything outside of Facebook and that Ninja Fruit game. Adults use Android. I certainly do. Sort of a shame. Typing is horrible in messages and forums, navigation is difficult. The old site worked better on my phone. Much better. I was very discouraged for the first six months of this new format.
Test - snifter of Black Note http://imgur.com/T4R9y Balls! Just the link. Any help on this? Why is my smartphone so much brighter than me?? Very discouraging...
Thanks for starting this thread OP and to all the tech savvy BAs that provided guidance. Very helpful and much appreciated!!
Posting from my android phone right now. There's an app in the play store called imgur, take pics, and then share the pic with imgur. After the app uploads the pic copy the image URL and go to BA. In the far right corner of the quick reply box you see two A's, click there and that changes the formatting which allows you to type in the box. Learn the image code which is simply [img ] link you copied from imgur app.jpg [/img ] without any spaces. You're welcome. Pics for reference The app The A's Copy URL

Man, Im frustrated. Still can't get this, why am I having so much trouble? Images are on instagram...or flickr, I can do either, but it just shows up as the broken image link.
Alright, photobucket is working, but i can't figure out how do get the img code from the mobile theme and the full site keeps crashing on my phone. Anyone else have this problem? BTW that's an awesome belgian dark ale, courtesy of Dust Bowl Brewing
You want to use the URL to the photo itself, not to the instagram/flickr page that has the photo in it. On flickr you can hit "Share" and choose BBCode, then copy the mass of code into the text box on BA. (If you don't want to include the extra link to your flickr album, read this). It looks like instagram intentionally makes it difficult to directly link their photos (not sure why)... I've never used instagram, so there might be a better way, but one solution is to add "media" at the end of the instagram URL by hand, so you'd type: [IMG]http://instagram.com/p/SdmMjJtK4Z/media[/IMG] instead of: [IMG]http://instagram.com/p/SdmMjJtK4Z/[/IMG] Proof of concept: (awesome beer, by the way)
