Here's one we had about a month ago. The Carne Asada fries on the bottom what was I had to eat to recover enough to drive home... (note the Bud Light Platinum front and center)
just your average Saturday night mix of stuff...few decent ones, few stinkers, always something new. cheers-- --Michael
Yes, unfortunately it was. We thought someone tricked us in bringing a sour. It actually kind of smelled nice, but it was pretty undrinkable.
My pics will be up sometime after tomorrow, but this is the lineup for my bachelor party tomorrow: Petrus Aged Pale '11 Lolita '10 Ola Dubh 12 year Cuvee Rene Old Rasputin XIV Sucaba Simtra Wookey Jack '12 Kentucky Monk Angry Goat Homebrew Amarillo/Simcoe/Centennial IPA '10 Brooklyn Monster Palate Wrecker And a few more unannounced beers from people showing up. If I end up feeling like opening it for giggles, I have an 04/04/04. Might save it for another time, depends on what the others bring and how I'm feeling after drinking all that stuff.
Had a nice little tasting in San Diego last weekend which Included Whiskey Huna and some other treats. Here is the only pic I took that night and no the 10' was not infected I guess we just got lucky rumor has it it is one of the worst infections people have come across

There were 11 of us. The whole thing took about 12 hours. The far and away highlight was Loerik. After that, Blauw and 3F Oude Geuze Vintage '03 were my favorites. Other ones way up there were Jean Chris Nomad, Veritas 005, '99 Oude Geuze, and Millennium. The surprise of the night went to Veritas 008, which smelled like that powdered vomit remover tasted like vitamins the first time I had it near its release. Now, it's actually quite good, at least IMO.
http://twitpic.com/83d25e It wont let me post a picture of it for some stupid ass reason. We did 4 RR -tions, Black Butte, some Cigar City, and a Cantilon 09 Gueuze. Great night.
I didn't get the growler filled. There was WAYYYYY too much beer. Only 5 people showed up, but it was still a good time. Simtra and Lolita were the highlights to me. Simtra is an AMAZING IPA/DIPA/TIPA whatever you want to call it. It's fantastic.
Here's a picture from a tasting of the Upland Lambics that happened today between BrahnSolo, CarolinaKevin, Cassino, GehenHerzog, Jzmhector, Marine1975, Ssuggs01, Thagr81us and myself
I have albums of the last 2 big tastings we had at Beer Revolution in Oakland, check em out here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/afrotastic/sets/72157629385525500/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/afrotastic/sets/72157628297762055/ Here's one of my favorites to drink and look at:

Had some geuze steamed mussels among other great food for the tasting too. Note that vegetable root chips & smoked salmon are excellent to pair with lambic as well!
Highlights from an ostensibly barleywine/old ale tasting, with far more Kuhnhenn nerdery than I remembered to take pictures of…
The Five Squared was my favorite of the night, wish it wasn't a crazy expensive one time brew. The wax on the De Struise bottles is thick and hard, but heating it with a lighter did the trick:
Not a recent tasting, but I took this shot a couple years ago and it's always been one of my favorites: Cheers!
