i'm holding a monthly party with some of my craft beer drinking friends, where we sample my new homebrew of the month... paring it with pies...
What pie would go well with my very strong orange peppercorn pale ale.. ?

I know it's not a pie but I would be tempted to try it with banannas foster, or if it has to be a pie, maybe pumpkin.

I would vote for a savory steak, mushroom, and carrot pie. That orange peppercorn sounds like an excellent pairing.

I bottled it 3 days ago, so i'm having a hard time waiting to open one... will give it at least 10 days, but i'm thinking its going to be a pretty good combination.. when i tasted the wort, i could definately pick out both flavors...
    thanks for the comment...

I would definitely agree that something savory would seem better fitting for such a beer.
