The NW forum has been kinda quiet lately so I'm just posting this to get things rolling. http://www.washingtonbeerblog.com/ recently visited and posted these stories:

Add in established beer spots such as Archer Ale House, The Copper Hog, Chuckanut Brewing, McKays Tap House, The Up & Up, Boundary Bay and the just out of town North Fork Brewery, Pizzeria, Beer Shrine and Wedding Chapel (in Deming) and my adopted home is a neat little beer destination. We've got a long way to go before we're Bend, but we're working on it.

Pimp B'Ham all you want. Beautiful city with exploding beer scene. Overtake Bend? You never know - and don't knock the idea if you haven't checked them out.
My God! You've got Will Kemper! Doesn't get any better than that and that's just for starters!
