    Hey Darth,
Im currently collecting bottle tops and have my whole family doing the same, so I can do the same thing you did. Did you glue them down? And what did you put on top so I have an idea? Thanks for the help man!

    Dave,

Yes I did glue them down with some crazy glue. The last thing you want is for them to move when you are pouring the epoxy over the top of it. I used a product called Kleer Kote it is an epoxy based product. If you have any other questions shoot me a BM

I recently finished this restoration and rebuild of a 1930's Art Deco back and front bar.

The back bar came from a demolition in St. Paul Minnesota, and through some research we established it appeared in an obscure movie titled That Was Then... This Is Now. It featured Morgan Freeman, Emelio Estevez, and Craig Sheffer. The bar as seen in the movie was 50 feet in length and was cut down into two sections. I restored one for myself, of which I'll dig up photos for a later post. The remaining pieces I used to build my brothers.

Two bars, three years, a lot of sweat and sawdust. Establishing the fact it appeared in a film was priceless and fun.

Just finished it this past weekend. Pretty small when looking at others but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Cabinets are stock from Home Depot, finished them myself. It has a granite tile bar top too. Plenty of room for glasses, liquor and a small beer fridge.
