So I know that this is released in May, but does anyone know when it should be hitting stores in the Chicagoland area? Thanks!
Last year it took well over I month, I believe. I don't think it hit stores until mid-July. BUT, if you want to try it before then, I do know that Revolution will be having a Firestone Walker tap takeover during CCBW. Supposed to have it, Sucaba, XV, etc. Hasn't been announced yet, so I'd keep checking at http://chibeerweek.com/.
I was told by one of my local beer guys that it could happen as soon as mid May here this year, but he said to basically keep checking.
FSW stuff is tough to pin dates when it actually hits shelves to. You'll hear about it when it happens.
or after it happens, as sometimes that stuff disappears off the shelves as fast as one puts it on there...
Eh hem, Binny's locations everywhere... They claim to have a list, but it's really just who the manager wants to give bottles to (happens at every location I'm sure).
There are plenty of stores in the burbs that still have FW15 and Sucaba on the shelf. My guess is the same will be true for Parabola. You may not find it at Binny's, but if you look around you should be able to get it once it is released.
Vav, any chance Chicago will see Wookey Jack? The press release indicated Chicago would get some but the folks at the River North Binny's hadn't heard anything.
It's going to suck, driving all over the place to try to get more than 3 or 4 bottles. But it will be worth it.
I wouldnt exactly expect for that to happen again...that was a happy accident. On a side note, that stacking aisle is no longer there as of yesterday...there's now another row of beer shelves

Sooooo besides the Binnys which are most definitely sold out, has Parabola or Wookey Jack hit the shelves in Chicago yet?
My brother and I happened to walk into Vav's store on the day last fall that the glorious stack was sitting out. We were on our way to a late-season White Sox game with about 3,000 of our closest friends at the end of a disappointing season. Picking up a few Parabolas and posting their availability on BA for the rest of you made our day. (And yes, I think the Sox lost.)

Binny's in Des Plaines has had tons of XV on the shelf and on the floor. I haven't been there in over a week, but it has been there forever
Somewhere on these forums I read 3rd week of May. So my quest for Parabola shifts into overdrive next week

Just to be clear, this is only a fantastic tap takeover. This does not coincide, at least not officially, of the release of Wooky or Parabola in Chicago. It will hit the shelves in May though, according to several FW employees.
