Dear Ale Asylum and fellow inmates, I already miss my old short bottled Hopalicious bottles. Call me a whiney, old (28 years old), can’t let go of the past, bitch. But I miss a bottle size. Yes, I’m so grateful that a brewer's rep for Ale Asylum once showed up in the Sheboygan, WI Superior Discount Liquor some time in 2009(I think) , and that he shared a sample of his excellent beer with me, and thereby turned me onto a lifetime appreciation of his brewery, and ultimately every other craft brewery’s, beer, that I literally already feel that a piece of my craft beer childhood has past with the implementation of a long necked bottle. Alas, the old days of looking for a short, snake looking, brown bottle are gone, and I must accept the fact that a long necked bottle will now accompany my connotations of one of my favorite beers in the world. Like a best friend that you’ve separated with after high school, and are now seeing for the first time in a year since: I know you,.. but you’ve changed. Therefore, it is with some regret that I must say goodbye to the beloved old, and welcome the new. For I will always cherish the present, cheers to the present, and look with anticipation to the future. Merry Christmas to a nation that has the fortune of concerning themselves with the nuances of beer, Cheers : ) Nick
