Been a member for awhile but just thinking about getting into this trading non-sense. Any tips? Also trying to post a couple comments so i can start posting in ISO:FT, as I am heading to Russian River in 2 weeks. Thanks for any advice! Cheers

Filling out your wants/gots is somewhat helpful, even if its not exact.

Set up an account with UPS/Fed Ex. It'll save you a little money and you can prit your labels at home.

Trade with as many people who have created accounts within the past 2-3 weeks as you can. It adds a sense of excitement to trading you can't get any other way.

Upload a pic as your avitar. Maybe this is dumb, but having a pic seems to lend some legitimacy (if simply by showing that you put in the effort to work on your profile in the slightest way). It also lets people remember you since you will remember the same picture when you see in on threads but will likely forget a username unless its a trading partner.

I have only been a member here for about 4 or so months and have done close to 10 trades now and although I was nervous at first about will I even get anything back and will it all make it to the person successfully, i have come to realize that there most of the BAs here are good peeps and are trustworthy. But as always, if it looks and sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Quite frankly I think it is best to just assume every package you send you won't get anything back. May sound blunt and harsh, but if you view it that way anytime you DO get everything ok you are as happy as Natalie Portman's thong.

Seems like a lot of folks suggest starting off with some local for local trades.
