Guessing the guy I asked had no freaking clue, I even looked all around for it. Thanks for the tip though.

The kid I talked to had to text who I assume was the beer manager but he was able to go to the back and grab a couple 4 packs for me. It was not on the floor yet at that time. Also, the only limit he mentioned was no cases.

You are right on that one, the guy I asked said he would text AJ but he was probably unavailable as he was on vacation and didn't want to bother him. Assuming you got the guy who did haha. It was def in the back. At least all the info matches up. Thanks again

Maybe I'm the crazy one, but I think it's insane to pay $6 a bottle for BCBS, let alone $11 or $12 a bottle. It's good, but seriously, there are a number of (arguably) equal-to-better BBA stouts in the market at half that price.

Besides, am I the only one who hates seeing all this $$$ flowing into A-B InBev's pockets with so many awesome independent small breweries pumping out great craft beer?

It probably is just me, but I'd much rather buy $130 worth of Parabola than a case of BCBS.

^parabola was no easy find either... and for the cost it's about the same... parabola is in what a 22oz bottle.. and was between i think $13-16 so say that's $15 for 22 oz = $0.68/oz x 12 = $8.16/12oz at $5-6 bcbs sounds like a hell of a deal to me.. i don't care where the $ is flowing so long as the beer is good.

I thought peche mortel was awesome so i went out and bought 8 of them at like $6/bt.. i'll buy as much bcbs i can at around the same price... but yeah.. paying $8+/12oz for bcbs starts to get in the crazy range... it would have to be one of the variants... rare/vanilla/coffee for that

    Or, you could buy both.

    Duh.

Try $50 for 22oz of the Rare. And don't be surprised when it comes back, it's destined to be rebrewed. With the cash-flow it would create, and likely selling out 13K bottles (or likely more, since InBev would want to really make it worth their while), those bottles would disappear overnight.

And be worth every fucking penny.

I love Parabola and love BCBS... i would prob give the edge to BCBS.

If the price is what it should be (and what I have paid) BCBS is def cheaper per ounce than Parabola, but it also comes down to size of the bottle. It is much easier for me to drink a few beers myself at night, one of them being a 12oz BCBS, then a 22oz of Parabola. Also, the amount of each of the beers stores that I visit received meant it was way easier to get more BCBS than Parabola.

Konrad Beer Distribution, Inc is the AB house there but remember in NJ consumers can't buy direct from distributors.

Anheuser Busch has a separate website for their wholesalers, listed by state. Links are available for some of their websites (usually only the standard AB "house" design, and they typically offer little or no real info in most cases).

$5.99 a single or $22.99 a 4pack 1 4pack limit but we will be seeing more than just our initial delivery. Also have a limited amount of GI tulips and even fewer of the wine style glasses with just the silver goose on them. Maine peeper and ballast point sculpin 6packs also in stock.

Total Wine in River Edge told me today that they should have BCBS next week. They did not receive it in this week's delivery, but they are supposed to get it.

whats a sixer of sculpin going for? the bombers were $8 if i remember correctly which would make me think that a six pack is going for $24-30 depending on the store

They're obviously 12oz bottles instead of 22oz. $15.99 but average markup should take it to $16.99. Hunterdon asked for the lower price.

Psst. Bombers have the biggest mark-up and hence are the biggest rip off. No Bang for your buck there.

Unless there are bottle dates. Can't imagine paying $17 for an IPA.

Any IPA that is that expensive should probably be sold in a 4 pack.
  28. tigernipples Member

Well , my point is if I'm spending close to 20 on an IPA I need to know freshness. Ballast point still doesn't put dates on huh? That's cave man like.

I'm guessing monmouth county isn't going to have any bcs by Friday...
Like what? I'm the first guy to hate on AB-I, but BCS is dirt-cheap for a BA stout. It's currently selling for $5.50/12oz. Parabola was what? $15 if you were lucky? That's $8.72/12 oz. BA Rasputin (probably my fav BA stout of the few I've tried) is an insane $14.2/12oz. I mentioned it before, but the only BA stouts I can think of that are cheaper than BCS are dogfather and Dragon's Milk (both of which aren't considered to be particularly good, but I haven't had them tbh).

i obv know a sixer isn't going to be 22oz bottles, was just doing the per oz math on the price of bombers and extrapolating it out to the amount of oz in a six pack leading me to ~ $22ish dollars... i figured a six pack would be less as you are buying more.. but figured the markup would still be high as it's high on a bomber of sculpin... i wasn not impressed with the last batch of sculpin.. it was either old or just wasn't right.. been hearing that it's not the same as it used to be.. no clue if in making more they cut corners or what.. all speculation on my part.. either way was just trying to get the six pack price, doubt i'll pick it up with Harvest ale from founders around the corner and bcbs among us this week/next week... gots to save my $ for stuff i def want to get a bunch of

Ballast point has best by dates, not bottling dates.
  34. marshmeli Member

    Location:

Rigtht, sorry, but you can determine the bottling date by the best by date, no? I think it was 4 months of reg beers and like a year for bigger beers (like 10%+ or 11%+)

Just got 2 four packs of BSBS at bourbon street liquors in Flemington. Right on the shelf.. didnt think they would even have it. They may have more but I didnt see any. $20.99 each.
    Lucky me.

The guy at Little Bros said they didnt have but will be geting in . I highly doubt the price will be below $40. ha

Ive found that Lil Bros are always cheaper than Bourbon Street. Bummer, I didnt bother stopping into Bourbon Street because I didnt think anywhere in Hunterdon Co was getting it until November - for shame.

Im not implying they dont/havent gouged - I am saying I generally find them cheaper than Bourbon Street, which has to have some of the worst customer service on the planet.

A little research would show that Ballast Point has been using Enjoy By dates for a few months. They have been on the bottles sent to NJ since they started distributing to Jersey, again.

Great joy. You can start buying Ballast Point, again.
