The dist def knew what they had but gave Gary's the first shot (one of the first at least) of selling it.

So does anyone know how many cases actually made it to NJ? I saw someone said 60 earlier. If this is the case why did Gary's receive 22 of them? This seems obnoxious. Also, did any other stores get any? When will they?

Lunch has had some batch issues. I've had a few different bottlings and I think the batch you had I also had. It was a lot darker in color and tasted like a stale IPA. My friend gets their stuff in Massachusetts and he's experienced the same exact thing. It seems they've got it under control now. I can't wait til Lunch and Zoe hit NJ. Their Moe pale is very goo too!

Please update if anyone finds out who else in nj is getting bourbon county or if anyone got extra

I heard there were issues with the August lunch batch, but they should be resolved. I've had a couple Maine beers and they're very good.

They told me the dist called them and said they could have first crack... i was under the impression more would be coming. I know a shop in Jersey City got some too.

Doesnt seem there would be more coming for that area. Looks like they gave most of their allocation to Gary's. Hard to get real #'s on these kind of things. I am hoping I can get just 1 bottle in my area, but the talk of people walking out with cases has me lusting for more :)

I hope somewhere here in SJ gets 22 cases.. haha.. i bet the big stores in this area will be lucky to get between 2 - 6 cases... don't think anybody is going to sell a full case... if anybody hears of it though def post it up or shoot me a mssg.. i'd be down to buy a full cases of bcbs! i'll take anything i can get of it without having to overpay

I think that everybody is misunderstanding just how much BCBS is coming into the state... A pub in North Jersey, which shall remain nameless, so that we can avoid accusations of "pimping," posted this picture on their facebook this morning:

I don't think that NJ is going to be dry of Bourbon County anytime soon.

Yeah, I hear ya. Doubt cases will be had but 1 four pack would be nice.

Their top accounts by volume get first crack.

For example, 30 cases of CBS came to the state, so their top 30 account were able to have first dibs on it. That seems fair to me...

It's not like Red Bank is near them...and if an account in Ocean County bcomes a top account, they would certainly be included

I can't imagine them handling the distribution anymore now that AB has them. I'm assuming this is only going through the AB centers.

i think hunterdone does a great job here in SJ.. i don't know of any other distributors that give so much info as to where to find beers, when to find them, and also do a great job of getting so many diff craft brands into the state

for those in high grades distribution area, i have been told that they received one pallet of bcbs (30 cases i wastold) its in their warehouse but not listed in their cpl (current price list). by law they can not sell it if it is not listed. So for high grade area, it wont hit untill november at the earliest based on the info i got today

High Grade is the AB house for Middlesex, Somerset, Union and Hunterdon.

(South of that in Central Jersey, it's Ritchie & Page > Mercer, Burlington, Monmouth, Ocean counties).

I talked to the beer guy at my local shop in SJ today. He said he expects to get get this in either late this week or early next week. I believe they were expecting to get 2 cases (not 100% sure about that part) and it would likely be a one 4 pack limit.
