Yeah, FBS stayed on shelves for months. KBS sold out basically right away.

seems to me like people want to know where it's at. just letting them know.

I actually appreciate the info myself as i will try and stop by there in the next couple of days and pick some up myself. Just was wondering whether Founders was limiting production on it this year as I have seen a number of people acting like it is a hard to find limited release.

that price would be a steal, also would be illegal in NJ...bottle cost is 9.45

Actually I guess it wouldn't be wise at all since they might make less profit. More just I want them to..

In NJ at the normal 30% mark up which is average for craft beer (example: founders IPA being 10.99 a six) 11.99 is the normal retail markup for Founders breakfast stout. at 9.99 stores would be giving it away.

Rechecked my receipt. 8.99 Maybe a mistake on their part

I don't get why it would be illegal?

New Jersey law states that a retailer cannot sell and item below cost

Can't sell for less than you purchase it for.

so it would seem, or an old vintage they paid less for? doesnt make sense to me, hunterdon's book is generally a one case deal price. which is excellent for smaller stores, but bigger stores should not be able to get a better price than the price i paid. Oh well, no big deal, id go buy some more if i were you ;)

I was told that it would be here in a few weeks by the beer buyer at a store in Monmouth County that spoke with their reps about it.

Even when things are on sale at the end of the season? That's a dumb law. How do you know the bottle cost?

Anyone seen Schlafly Pumpkin Ale in Central NJ? Guess I'm a little late to the party. Saw their Octoberfest but heard great things about the pumpkin and wanted to do a comparison with Pumpking.

yes, the law applies at all times, if i reduce my items for quick sale, its can only be down to cost. and i know the bottle cost because im the beer buyer at a shoprite wine and spirits and we got our case in monday.

Only place I was able to locate it was Sparrow in Hoboken, and it went FAST.

On another note, having a hard time locating Parabola - Buy Rite in Jersey city only has DBA / Wookey...can't get my hands on it!

I don't get the hype with pumking either. Seem to remember it sitting around for months and now my store sold out of 10 cases in less than 2 weeks. And my store isn't that big or particularly full of beer geek customers.

Parabola is long gone. Came out months ago and was gone within a day or 2. It's a much better beer than double dba and much more limited.

Parabola just showed up in the past 6 or so weeks from what I was told by AJ at Buy Rite and the guys at city swiggers, the truck had problems supposedly? Not sure on the full story, thats just what I was told. Still some floating around there. I'll keep hunting

I'm at the Pour House in Westmont drinking a Smuttynose Strawberry Short Weisse. Really unique take on the style with traditional elements throughout and a ton of berry/dessert flavor on the finish. They also have some interesting beers from Carton on including their 1st Anniversary Imperial Pale Ale and the Pumpkin Cream Ale.

FBS (10.99) and Bitches Brew (12.99) both at the Liquor Barn in Florence. Plenty to be had as of 6pm. They also had Lagunitas Fractional.

Me and another BA'er were just at Buy Rite in Pennington. Unfortunately i took their last 2 bitches brew they had out (they may have more in the back). They did have the Daytime IPA though and the new Chimay special thats out (forget the name). Also of note, 1 or 2 bottles left of Shafly 08 Stout (the reserve series) and 09 Barleywines

Anyone near there should also make the trip to Humeville Inn in Humeville (about 15 mins away, just a bit further down 95). They just tapped Hill Farmstead Ephraim and it is phenomenal

I grabbed some Oude and ToD already as well as some Allagash Confluence... PM Me, i'll have to stop over and say what's up this weekend! hopefully make it over there more often.

Picked up some bitches brew for only 8.99. I'm pretty sure they got it this morning, not on the shelves I picked it out of a case, so im sure it was priced wrong.

Oh yeah, and a case of breakfast stout.
