My post wasn't worded very well. When I said "I hope this isn't true" I meant if we were getting Abyss at all. I was pointing out the guy at Specs told me that Abyss rotates with Stoic which isn't true. Stoic is every other year and Abyss is every year.

I'd been looking for the ProAm, and Specs has been out of it forever. Just wandered into The Bottle Shop and they've got it. Also had a Newq Belgium Super IPA and a Deep Ellum Hop Seeker in the process.

Good to know The Bottle Shop has it as well. I haven't been there yet this week.

Speaking of pumpkin, I'm absolutely killing it over here in Florida thus far:

South Florida's distribution completely kills ours, imho. Don't worry, I'll be home on Monday with my luggage about 30lbs heavier. ;) Lookin' foward to some Funky Buddha!

One more for Mad Meg being at HEB in League City this time. I had a hard time finding Black Metal but I found it at a local bottle shop.

I'm hoping age makes it something worth drinking. I bought two a few weeks ago. Drank one - it was a big nothing, unworthy of its namesake.

I was just at Specs Smith Street and the beer guy(not lindsey) said he was unaware of Bodacious coming out on Monday. I hope that release is not such a cluster as the KP release.

If it's worth anything, I think Bitches Brew is the best thing DFH makes.

Didn't it get delayed at some point this week? I feel like it did, but perhaps I'm wrong.

Has anyone seen Anchor Christmas 12 in Texas yet?

Believe it or not (it's still he beginning of October) this is EVERYWHERE in Florida in both bottles and on tap. Need to pick up my yearly magnum bottle when it comes out in TX (sizes above 32oz are illegal in Florida, pfft)

I've had 2 of these so far and I really enjoyed it each time. You can't think stout in the traditional sense. I know it doesn't use tons of hops but it has a bitterness to it, I thought it meshed well with the sweetness. Something like a an aged Stone SSR or Avery 17 (I think that was the Black IPA)..I don't know if that makes sense or is helpful. Even at the price I think it's worth trying...a great bottle to split between 3-4 people.

Re: Bodacious - I talked to someone at the brewery yesterday and they said it may or may not be out as expected. Said for sure would be released within the next two weeks, if not next...

I heard delayed to the 22nd just to make sure there are no glitches in delivery.

I don't think of DFH as anything in traditional sense. :D

Gabriel's just got some Jubelale in. And I'm hoping to have Timmerman's Lambicus Oude Gueuze on shelves next week.

Is it the Maui Brewing release of the beer or the Jolly Pumpkin release
of the the collab? If it's Maui, are they doing 4-packs or 6-packs?

I emailed Lone Pint. They said their beer will be "Guaranteed in the major Houston beer bars: Flying Saucer, Gingerman, Petrol Station, etc." in "2-3 weeks."

Anyone seen/heard anything about Brown Sugga'? It may have been mentioned somewhere, seeing as we seemingly have five threads here discussing the same thing (beer releases), but I don't recall seeing/hearing anything.

Stone is sent in one big shipment to Texas once a month from what I've observed... I'm betting Stone Mint Chocolate missed the October shipment and will show in November (similar to how we got Saison du Buff a bit later than other markets for the same reason). It's definitely coming as TX was specifically mentioned in the press release for the beer.

We've gotten Brown Sugga' in the past so that should be out and around once Lagunitas gets around to sending it here. Lagunitas has been a bit slow to TX this year since they expanded, so who knows... I'd expect it to be quite limited though if Little Sumpin' Wild is any indication.

Someone posted in a different thread that TX is on the distribution list for that one. Sounds potentially good or terrible. Not sure there is a middle ground on something like that. Looking forward to trying it!
