Thanks for the feedback. I had it when it first came out. Tasty? Yes it was. back in those days, it stood out. Today? I doubt, if it's the original formula, that many BAs would be enthusiastic about it but I, personally, can't wait to try it again. Subtle flavours...I can dig them.
They had a New Albion Ale (a pale Ale I believe) at the Rare Beer Tasting at the 'Koop during GABF week. These the same?
I would imagine so. It's a damn good little session beer, but it's more about the pedigree than the actual beer, though. If you go to the Russian River taproom, sit at the bar, and look up on the wall over the entrance to the brewery, you will see the original wooden sign from New Albion. That speaks volumes about the influence of the brewery.
