So this LIF was my winning idea in TWStandley's “LIF” LIF. I haven’t received a box yet, but I’m doing this LIF anyways. For reference here was my idea from the other LIF: My LiF is based on something easy like the price per gallon the last time I bought gas. I then send a box containing two bombers to the winner with one of the bottles wrapped up so they don't know the contents (mystery bottle) and one as is (bottle #2) so they know what the bottle contains( maybe some extras as well to make it worth while). The recipient then has to start their own LIF that contains one of the two bottles I sent, either the mystery bottle still in its wrapping or the other bottle that is now wrapped up plus another bottle. The next LIF winner then also has to make a choice of known or unknown. The mystery behind the wrapping could be an awesome bottle or a double-deuce of steel reserve. Winners of LIFs would only post the portion of their haul that isn't goi g to be part of the next round. I would post a photo of mystery bottle #1 in the thread with identifying characteristics to ensure recipient #1 didn't peek, as would other senders. Similar in concept to my recent 50 State LIF where this LIF starts a string of LIFs all related to each other. Cool idea OP. Cheers! So, guess the price per gallon of gasoline the next time I fill my tank. I live in Chicago and sometimes get gas in Cook County, Lake County, and Northwest IN. Since there could be multiple correct guesses, the tiebreaker will be the number of miles on my odometer – closest to the actual count gets it. Hint: auto was purchased new in December 2010. Take one guess per BA and when I get gas at the end of the week I’ll award a winner. That winner agrees to continue the Mystery Bottle LIF by starting a LIF and sending a box with a “mystery” beer in it. The winner will receive a box from me with two main beers in it – one wrapped (mystery bottle) and one unwrapped (bottle #2). Winner will have to choose whether to keep bottle #2 and re-LIF the mystery beer or open the mystery beer and forfeit bottle #2 in the LIF they will then start. Winner gets to keep all of the beer in the box besides either the mystery beer or bottle #2. When the winner posts their haul in this thread, the beer that will be passed along should not be photographed or named. Although I joked about including a bottle of steel reserve in the message above, I will not be doing that – shipping shitty beer across the country doesn’t make sense and I ultimately want the winner to have great beer either way.
