So they sent me an email saying they had my info. And it said they'd send me an email on/after the 26th of NOV if there was any left Anybody else get a similar one?
Well above average BA English BW and simple to stock up on it this time of the year. Much better than trying to trade for it later. Even if you have to purchase a minimum of 12 at least you know you could trade them later if you don't want them.
I'm a bit concerned that I have not received a confirmation email. I emailed them my info within minutes of the announcement.
I imagine you're probably fine if you were looking for 1 case. I was in the same boat of not receiving a confirmation so I gave them a call. I was told that I'm #20 on the waiting list and it shouldn't be an issue for me to receive my case. Give them a call and they should be able to tell you where you are on the list.
Any chance you would like to help a fellow PA resident acquire some of these beers (stuff like MOAS that is close to or outright impossible to find on shelves)?
anyone in the southern california area who's on the list and is looking to split a case... i'd be interested in some bottles... hit me up...
So...it sucks i work this day, but i can drive out before or after work. In years past, does this release have a huge line in the morning and does it ever sell out the first day? Would rather go after work but i wouldnt get there until 8-9pm ish. I really want to get this for a barleywine tasting Im planning. If I did go beforehand, id have to leave by 830am. Any suggestions? thanks
Definitely ordering another case this year! And I might not even split it up this time, it's that good.
Just got back from the Pelican. Only about 25-30 people showed up this morning. Plenty of cases left + some vintage PS/MoaS, going back to 2008, was also available.
I just ran into this thread today, unfortunately. But it did two things for me. 1. got me to put my name on the email list for a case (probably too late) and 2. Drink a bottle of MOAS. This is 1 fine fucking beer, hope i get a shot at a case next week
The flights? Or did they have cases upfront? I grabed another case before I left, and I thought she said something about checking the date, but I didnt think too much of it... I missed some vintage MoaS? Damn...
My mother who lives nearby was kind enough to swing in and grab some of this for me. She got there in the late afternoon, and they still had a LOT of 2012, and some 2011 for sale. The clerk told her that they still had some of each year held back, and that vintage bottles back through 2008 would be available again next year (for those who show up early enough).
So if they have plenty of it sitting around, will still not accept calls? Do I still need to wait for a call via my email submission?
As long as you gave your name and quantity to them, you should be receiving a call on either the. 26th or 27th.
Have they made calls yet? I got my name on the list pretty quickly, so I've been expecting one, but nothing so far.
From the first post: IF we have remaining inventory of Mother of all Storms after “Mother’s Day” at the Pelican, we will be contacting people on the email waitlist in the order you were added beginning November 26th. At this time, we will confirm your order and collect payment information. Please be patient and do not call the Pelican - it will only delay the process and those answering the phone won't have any details. Some restrictions apply; see online store policy for complete details regarding the shipment of beer. Tomorrow is when they are going to start calling.
If you called/emailed, I'm sure you'll be getting some beer. Last year everyone that made contact received their case. There was even a fair bit leftover that went into distro.
They just called me and I placed the order. The rep told me they would start shipping one week from today
