$40 for 4 pack of heady topper
$29 for 4 of mad elf
$6.99 routinely for rochefort 8 (one ofmy fav)
$17 dogfish namaste
$38 for a Fou' Foune at a bar. I drank the entire bottle to myself (I was around my non-beer loving friends) and loved every last sip of it.
I paid $50 for a bottle of Dark Lord. It was an auction for charity and I would have donated anyways, so I just look at it like I got a free bottle of Dark Lord. Therefore it's the most expensive AND cheapest bottle of beer I've ever bought.
I'm a lightweight...most expensive is a handful of $17.99 bombers of different brews. I don't really keep track other than not overspending the budget whether it's one bottle or five!
$55 for a CBS
I paid around $175 for a bottle of Utopias but it was a gift for a friend (birth of his first child).
Hoping he repays the favor by letting me try some when he opens it
Approx $23 for BCBCS. Some of the best money I've ever spent.
$400 for Sam Adams Millennium split with two friends. That's a freakin steal, actually.
$20 for a bottle of Barrel-aged Decadence Porter from Alesmith. Waited in line for almost 6 hours for that one.
If you told me you went and bought a $9 gallon of milk, came home, tasted it and honestly proclaimed it was the best god damn glass of milk you have ever tasted. Honestly.....i'd be intrigued.
If you went to lettuce advocate, I bet this very discussion would occur (comparing how much people spent on their lettuce). Same thing goes with cars, wines, other hobbies, etc. Here at beer advocate, people tend to focus on beer.
$115 for a bottle of CBS, back when you could still get stuff on EBAY. Yeah I know, I am nuts but I wanted a guaranteed bottle to have at my wedding.
$300 for utopias off of ebay. (It stung...)
$140 for my Westy 12 brick (somehow prices get jacked up in Louisiana)
When I was just getting into craft beer I paid $75 for a Longhammer IPA
Just scooped up this bad boy for the cellar. 20 bucks for a 500ml is the most I have ever paid but I'm sure this one is worth the quid.
$35 for Fifty Fifty Eclipse Elijah Craig 12 yr. Never had it before, can't wait to try it.
30 for one bottle of westy and same for kbs. I'd pay 20 and 10 after having them once off eBay.
Just bought a Fruet online for $32 without shipping or anything. Other than that, $30 each for a KBE and KRE, and $26 for an Abraxas.
$45 12oz for the "Hoppiest Beer ever made"
$180 for Sam Utopias the past 2 releases. Have done the Deus for $30 as well.
The first one.
<----- Sam Adams Utopias... $150ish
Would consider paying that much for the Ken Schmit/Maui/Stone Barrel Aged Coconut Macadamia nut porter though
$80 for a Partridge in a Pear Tree and another $80 for a Barrel Aged 2 Turtle Doves
I can get some for $27 a btl wanna trade?
$150 for a brick of Westy 12
$190 for a bottle of 2011 Utopias
$35 for kuhnhenn raspberry eisbock at the brewery release a few weeks back
Ashamed to admit it also $100 all told for a pointless bottle of ISO:FT. My first and last time doing it.
not bad, around here it's going for $25-26. had mine last weekend... tough to reconcile the coin but it is really fantastic. (funny how regular old rasputin is always considered to be such a value.)
Sierra Nevadas on the rooftop bar at the W hotel in DC (the POV, it overlooks the White House).
I would do it again, one or two for the view with out of town guests.
Haha this is a joke, right?
Most was a 6 pack of Hopslam for $25 (including tax).
Most on one bottle was DFH 75 Minute was $14 and change with tax.
Most I can remember is $32 for a bomber of Curmudgeon's Better Half from a bar. Worth it.
$50 for a Unibroue Maudite 15th anniversary magnum
$75 for a 2012 BCBVS- worth every dollar. Definitely kept the bottle for that price tag.
