    Surly Brewing Company
    Surly Nation, more Darkness cometh!

Starting the week of January 20, a very limited shipment of Darkness 2013 bottles will be going out to craft beer/liquor stores around the Twin Cities, and for the first time into the Chicagoland area too. It's a smaller batch than in October, but we've also been able to ship kegs of Darkness out to a number of bars in both metro areas. So if you're not able to find a bottle, there'll still be plenty of places to grab a Darkness, again.

As always, if you see bottles in stock or Darkness on tap, let Surly Nation know via Twitter using the ‪#‎surlydarkness‬ hashtag.

...and now we know why the Darkness sales at the release were stopped after the wristband time was up.

If it's a new batch does that mean we get another darkness day?

Well, Four Firkins is in the top 5 for Surly sales so I am sure they will get a nice little allotment.

More Darkness is cool with me. Although I'm worried that this will delay 8.

Why would it delay it? Hasn't it already been brewed and put into barrels?

Sorry. Lame attempt at Midwest BA humor on my part.

And if you ask for it you will get this as a response:

"Harumph! We are a destination liquor store, that sold out a long time ago."

After reading a few of these posts, you would think Surly brewing and selling more Darkness was a bad thing...Wow...

For those who missed out on Darkness Day they now have another shot at grabbing a bottle or two, or being able to try it on tap at a bar or the tap room is a great thing...but thats just my opinion.

Basically, the only distribution system I can get behind is direct delivery to my door, free of product costs and delivery charges. Otherwise, all parties involved are assholes, from the growing of the hops and barley to the consumption by some other asshole on this forum.
    Good day, sir.

haven't been on BA for quite some time...has surly announced what they're doing for surly 8 as far as style, barrel-aging, etc? I'm sure there's a forum surrounding the topic already but I couldn't find one in a basic search. any info would be appreciated!
