    Don't become a statistic.

Long story short? A/C froze up, wife turned A/C off and put dehumidifier in the utility room where A/C was to help dry it out. It got warm, and 2011 Brandy BBL Dark Lord decided it was too hot in there.

You know what sucks worse than losing a $50 bottle of beer you've been saving for a special tasting, at the same time contemplating a $3600 new A/C unit?

Doing all the above while sweating your ass off and cleaning the inside of your utility room because there's a beautiful smelling mess all over the walls and floor and you can't drink it.

All the other beers in the cellar have been moved into a fridge.

Looks like there's still some in there. Filter out the glass and enjoy! It still sucks that it broke.

isn't this like the 10th brandy DL that has exploded? I had one explode just sitting out on my kitchen counter.

Not that hot. I'd guess 80-85?

Why, thank you :grinning: I wasn't going to let go of the squiggly smiley face easily, but this was an obvious decision.

I'd say something is wrong with the beer if it explodes at 80-85deg.

I would agree. And I personally know of 6 Brandy DLs that have randomly exploded. One of the guys contacted FFF and got a Bourbon BA DL as a consolation. It's worth a shot, OP. After all, these bottles survived the brewery burning down 4 times!

That temperature shouldn't explode bottles. Think about liquor stores that have their beer upstairs/backrooms in 100+ heat right now.
